I just placed a deposit at Ocean Acura. They reguired $1000 deposit. The salesman showed me the order form and it's suppose to be built April 18-22. What's the color code for anthracite? I know the color code for ebony is "EN". How reliable is Ocean Acura?
Also, how do I get my deposit back from Montclaire? My salesman is still on vacation. Can I just show up with my receipt? I put the deposit in cash.

 

Why did you cancel your order at Montclair Acura? I thought they finally gave you the build date last week.

 

FYI - As I discovered a deposit means NOTHING. The dealership just takes that from you to keep you off the market. They will pull your chain as long as necessary, but they won't produce any results on such a high-demand car.

Look for a dealership with a more up-front way of handling sales.

 

Do you mean Acura of Ocean? If so, my family has purchased a total of 4 cars from them over the last 10 years. As long as you keep your eyes and ears on them and are proactive in the wheeling and dealing, it should turn out just fine. Just do NOT let them jerk you around. If you look or sound like you don't know what you're talking about, they will try to take you for a ride.

Service the car elsewhere. 3 of their mechanics quit a couple months ago because they weren't happy with the way things were being run. I am not happy with the way they run their shop, either. Hope this helps.
