Does anyone have exterior and interior photos of his/her car in this color combination? Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

 

I don't have a pic, but have personally seen and sat in 1 next to the SSM ebony. The quartz doesn't seem to have enough contrast. I opted for the SSm ebony, besides it's the colors of my favorite NFL team...yes I know their not doing so well!

 

What are you talking about? The Panthers have tied up their division...Oh, your talking about the "other" team that's using those colors....Sorry, but congrats on your new car!

i have it and its great... it contrasts well... also... ebony is great too. I had doubts at first but it really is a great combo.... the quartz is dark enough to contrast with the bluish silver.

 

I have SSM/Quartz and absolutely love it. The gray is dark, not like that hideous BMW gray, and the two tone effect of the black dash, the black stack, the black along the tops of the doors below the windows and down onto the handles is awesome. The two tone along with the aluminum is awesome. I think there is tons of contrast between the silver ext. and the darker gray interior. The all ebony to me makes the cockpit look too small, but to each his/her own.

 

Yeah, I agree about the quartz having much more contrast than the ebony. Ebony all blends together and actually makes the cabin feel smaller than the quartz, and does nothing to highlight the carbon fiber accents. I'm loving the quartz on my White Diamond Pearl, and I'm sure it would be great with the Satin Silver paint.

Not knocking the black as a choice...hell, I probably would have gotten it if it was available on the White Diamond Pearl this year, but they don't offer the combo anymore. I'm guessing it will be back next year, and I'll be bummed that I didn't have the choice.

Oh, well, at least I have the ebony on my silver MDX.,,, Just hate the fake wood that comes with it.

 

That said, maybe I should look at the Anthracite/Quartz at the dealer and see if I can handle it. That's one color combo they actually have available.

I saw some pictures of Anth/QZ and I really did not like the QZ color, it looked kind of.. ick to me. I don't know why, but that color (in the pictures I've seen, anyway) makes me nauseus. Am I just weird?

Yes, you are weird. If a picture of a car's interior has that effect on you, you may want to seek help. Go see the car in person, then decide.
