Picking up my TL tonight!!!!!!!!!!

My dealer just called - my TL IS HERE!!!!!!!! Shipped from the factory on Friday and is here today! He said they just took it off the truck and they are doing the pre-inspection and detailing today - I should be there at 7pm tonight!
Only thing is I haven't really looked around for financing yet. Don't think I'll get the greatest rate (just average credit score) so not sure if I should still call my bank and USAA or just see what the dealer gives me?
I have to make a road trip from VA to WI next week and back the week after so hope I'm not pushing it too hard too soon. I'm so glad I'll have my car for the weekend! Should I see if the dealer will throw in car mats or mud flaps? Anyone's dealer do this? I'm getting the rear wing spoiler but they might not have it in so I was thinking of using this as a "bargaining chip". My dealer throws in the wheel locks and an Acura key chain and free install of the spoiler. I'm SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

Congrats.

At the very least you should get mud flaps/all weather trunk mat/wheel locks. That is the "protection package" and every dealer I talked to threw it in for free.

Try online - Capital One Auto Finance. You can have the check tomorrow.

Uh..how do you plan to pick it up tonight if you have no financing yet?

Congrats on the new ride! I wouldn't be able to think about anything else. As far as the car mats, my TL came with mats, but they're not the all-weather kind (but I live in Texas, so it's no big deal).
Definitely get the mud flaps, whether the dealer pays for them or not. I took delivery of my WDP TL on 5/24 without them, and the next day after it rained I was back at the dealer having them put on :-D.

Again, congrats on the ride, and uh... go Bears

You are going to ask for the dealer to throw in accessories after you signed a deal ? Why would he do that ? You would have had bargaining power if you did it before you agreed to order teh car.

Guess I didn't explain - Acura will do on the spot (already talked to them) financing but didn't know if others would beat them - if I have to wait another day I will - I can sign and drive tonight according to the dealer/finance guy but was checking other sources as well.

Well I must say that took A lOT longer than I anticipated. Yep. Sorry, but it is true. Was gonna comment about the Redskin post, but did not want to draw attention to myself. But since you have, please pound the crap outta them - cause I hate the Redskins. Well, Philly too, but that is assumed. We actually enjoy watching a Packer game - I think Brett is A-OK. Yeah, sitting in NJ forced to get the DirecTv NFL package so I can see all my teams games, but I also use it to tune into some other than my local teams.

Here's to a good upcoming season!

Thx TBone - funny - my hubby is a Cowboys fan although I have converted him to the Pack because my whole family is such huge Pack fans and you would never make it as a member of my family if you didn't root for the cheesheads! I too am planning to get satty so I can get the NFL ticket - I can't stand another season without watching all the games! I'm a bigger football fan than my hubby is! I hate Philly too as you could probably guess can you say "choke" ;0 I'm on active duty in the Army so I rarely see all the Pack games but hopefully this year I can catch most of them. In a few weeks look for a TL with "CHEESHD" on the license plates!

I am assuming you mean the all season mats? Cause the other ones are free.

My family is all Giants fans - so I have been ostricized (sp?) pretty much from them.
My wife is DC fan - so our 23 month has no choice for now in the matter!

I would call USAA - back in January they offered me 1% below Honda Finance. You can do it over the phone in a few minutes, and you might get a little leverage over the business manager by doing so.

Thanks and Amen to that!
My wife's employer has season tix to the 'Skins and they've already offered us 2 for the game against the Pack. I can hardly wait. I haven't seen them play live since a monday night game in Carolina back in 2000.

1. Look the car over real good
2. Make sure there are no dents or scratches
3. take a final test drive with the radio off to make sure there are no rattles
4. check the trunk to make sure your spare and 2 cargo nets are there (maybe in the spare wheel well)
5. Look at the papers before you sign - make sure you do the math (some dealers "inadvertently" miscalculate the tax
6. If there's something wrong and the dealer tells you they'll fix it at a later date make sure you get it in writing.
