Picked up my 3G TL

I just picked up a 2007 Black/Black TL, which was the specific one I was looking for. =) For those of that might have seen my previous post, I didn't end up buying that one with 2 previous owners and 11K in repairs, phewf.

I held out and ended up with one in pretty good condition with 118,000km, 1 owner, purchased and used locally, no accidents, maintenance done at Acura from the beginning with receipts.

Any tips that I should keep in mind for maintenance, and anyone have recommendations on a leather polish/cleaner?

Thanks!

^^ LOL, never understood people who need to see pics of a stock TL. Thelowlife's avatar is much better to look at.

Congrats, OP.

Odds are very good that it is. Most people who mod their cars don't go to the dealer for maintenance over the course of 73k miles.

If you always assume a car is not modded, you will be right 98% of the time.

haha, thanks everyone for the kind welcome.

yeah, i'm quite sure it's stock unless there's something under the body that i haven't seen, but but previous owner doesn't strike me a the type that would mod the car, and yeah, maintenance at the dealer doesn't sound like something a modder would do. edit: actually, the previous owner installed an autostarter...but i don't think that's what you mean by mod =)

i'll try and bust out the dslr and take some nice photos, but you can probably imagine, it's black on black with medium (looks darker than 35 but lighter than 15?) tints.

btw, you guys use anything to protect the leather. i've been reading a lot about how it's treated, and conditioning doesn't work, an lexol vs letherique vs meguirs ... but any thoughts to help protect the seats?

thanks

yeah i'll try to order a set of lexol spray bottles. i only found the jugs locally, and i read the spray is better.

power steering recall was done, but i don't have a record for the trans fluid at 100,000 km. previous owner doesn't strike me as the kind of person that would somehow cancel the message on the MID without going to the dealership and dealing with it, but i don't have a receipt...

finally got around to taking photos.

but after it got ozoned and cleaned, they put on this shiny polish....what can i use to make it more of a matted look?

i recently ordered some leatherique, and looking into lexol for regular maintenance.
