PIAA Yellow fog lights issue !

PIAA Yellow fog lights issue !

whats up guys? i have an06 tl , went ahead and i ordered the PIAA Yellow bulbs 9006 part # on box says HB and i think at the top is says 131 , anyways i take out the stock fog bulbs and the 3 pieces that twist in are bigger on the stock bulbs and on the PIAA one they are smaller and i cant get the bulbs to fit correctly i guess u can say because i guess it doesnt have enough of a tab to lock it in place ... any one have this issue ? do i have the wrong bulb or what ??

Wrong bulb---you need 9006.

ill email them but it seem like that part # corresponds to that bulb

Didnt he say the box read H8? Thats what I get for reading without my glasses.

factory bulb is on the left and the Piaa is on the right notice the tabs that lock in place ... thanx and hope someone can help out

ill post it on monday , spoke with the people i bought it from and according to the marking on the packaging these are the correct bulbs

Sorry---I did a bit of research and it looks like HB is some sort of hybrid type bulb that fits both a 9005 and 9006 socket (I may be wrong on this). Can you return the bulbs for an exchange to 9006?

i returned the bulbs but they were the 9006 ?

They definitely were not 9006. Like I said, HB is supposed to fit 9005/9006, but obviously that is not the case.
Also note that H11=9006. I see you can order the PIAA Plasma Yellow in H11. Try that and they should fit no problem.

I saw it on a site that explained bulb sizes somewhere. I know it is true because my Accord fogs came with H11 bulbs and they are a direct swap for my OEM fogs (06TL, same as you).

the H11 mounts on the housing with Metal tabs that are a lot closer together. the 9006 use plastic tabs and are spread out a lot further, also the H11 have a smaller silicone O-ring to seal.

another name for 9006s are HB4s...it could be in reference to that.
