I usually park closer to the passenger side to prevent other drivers from hitting my car when they open and close.

The company I work for decided to build a new office next to a private golf course. Got home one day and my wife says there is a huge dent on my roof. Sure as hell, a golf ball left a fuggin crater on my roof. Called the golf course to see if they are liable for it, nope, it's on the golfer.

PDR guys say they won't touch it because they wouldn't be able to get it out anyways.
The body shop that my Acura dealer works with told me $519 to fix the dent and repaint the entire roof. Not too bad IMO but need to wait until I have the cash for that.

I feel your pain. Someone hit my TSX at school. Well here's the aftermath.

About $1300 in damage.

I feel your pain. I have been driving around with a dent the size of a quarter located on the left rear passenger side and then the worst one on the fender that is impossible to do a PDR. The repair shop said they can bondo it and repaint the area which is going to cost about $333.

At anyrate, these dents were caused by idiots in the parking lot who has no respect for anything. I have tried parking far away, actually the end of the parking lot where no one is parked within 50 feet but for some strange reason someone would come along and park next to me! I am not exaggerating even a little bit here, but this happens every time and usually within minutes of me parking.

I know I am just going off on a rant here but repairs are expansive and even after repairing you know it's not the same. I wish I can install flame throwers on the sides of my car.

Door dings are a part of life, unless you live in the boonies. I've never ever been ever to notice someone else's door dings. If someone has a nicely kept up car, it is virtually impossible to see their door dings unless you're actively looking for them. I can however, tell you the exact location of every door ding on my car.

Just my two cents. Just be glad that you live in an area where you are guaranteed to accumulate door dings and learn to deal with it. It will make your life much less stressful.

I'm a student at UCSC, came back from the gym bout two weeks ago, and my front bumper was hit. Person probably attempted to make a left turn into the spot and I guess didn't know the dimensions of their own car. I have pics, but i'll post them up later with my newly painted grille! haha.

But yeah, I always look for cushion spaces now and park far away.
