PCV - WHen to replace
Anyone have any recommendations on when to swap out the pcv valve? I like to be proactive as opposed to reactive. Maybe I should just leave well enough alone?

Yep, there is a PCV valve, and it is located under the intake manifold cover and near the rear drivers side of the engine. Its functioning can be cheked by pinching the hose leading to it and listening for a clicking noise from the valve. If it clicks,it's okay. if not it is probably gummed up and it should be replaced. It is secured by one small bolt, and there are a couple of "O" rings that also should be replaced. It's unlike any PCV valve I have been familiar with.
