Adjust your mirror in a circular motion a few times, and be sure to hit it's full range of movement. That should fix it, as I had the same problem; it's because the lubricant needs to be spread around, I believe.

The left and right side mirrors tilt down depending on where you have the mirror adjustment switch set. This is by design. So if the Switch is set to R the right mirror will tilt down when in reverse (helps to see and guage the curb) and same applies if the switch is set to L for the left mirror. If the switch is in the middle - there is no mirror movement.
The clicking sound is more of an issue. If you do a search, there are a few threads where this is discussed. I believe solutions range from simple fuse replacements to recalibration and even mirror motor actuator replacement.
You might want to try and adjust the mirror all the way up, then set it back to normal and they try reverse again to see if this helps recalibrate.

Not sure if you are on some kind of warranty but I got both of my mirror actuators replaced. its an issue with the actuators and the dealer did mine for free under warranty. I think it's like a $250 job normally which is a lot

It's under a technical service bulletin notice (tsb)

There's actually a simple fix for this :
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/3g-mirror-repair-pictures-3g-garage-e-045-a-832020/

My driver side mirror did the same thing every time I reversed it would make that awful clicking sound, went to autozone and bought some white lithium grease and that fixed the issue.
