I have '06 TL that was hit on passenger side and been repaired by dealer. Looks great. BUT......

Question: Is there supposed to be a beep when the passenger does not buckle their seat belt? I do not often have a passenger, and I don't remember if it's supposed to beep or give some sort of signal if there is no buckle up. Currently there is no reminder for not buckling up the passenger side seat belt when the seat is occupied.

I'm concerned there may be a safety issue with the air bags if it is not sensing there is someone in the passenger seat.

My 08 TL-S would beep like crazy when my wife didn't buckle up.

That beep is so annoying. Any way you guys know to get rid of it?

Before I get flamed, people always buckle up in my car. Sometimes I have coworkers jumping in and out of the car frequently though and it would be really nice to not have to buckle the seatbelt behind their back.

I'm buying off a company car lease and going to resell. I want to make sure the safety features are all in order.

I have an 05 TL and it doesn't beep at all for the passenger, only the driver. And that goes off after about 15 minutes.
