when i get in my car sometimes the message board will read passenger 2 anyone know what or wjy this is happening>??

 

Sounds like you are being notifacted of driver 2 because you are using keyfob #2 which is tied into the memory system. Look at the back of your keyfob there should be a number on it. There should also be instructions on the back of the fob on how to set the car to change memory positions based on which keyfob is being used in the car. I think this feature can be turned off and you can simply select which memory position you want by pressing the buttons yourself on the door panel (if needed). I use keyfob #1 in my 07 Type S, but do not have it linked to the car so when I get in it does not say driver 1 or driver 2. Its just always on memory setting 1 unless I press otherwise.

Yeah I saw that as well and had to think about it for a second, but what I think he meant to say is driver 2. There is nothing in this car that will say anything about "passengers".

 

The only other thing I could think of is the airbag notification for the passenger side. OP if you ever return to this thread take a picture.

 

I would say you probably have a laptop bag or something else more than 12 lbs but less than 45 i think it is...though I could be making those numbers up. If the TL senses that there is a child or small adult in the front seat, one that the airbag could potentially harm more than help due to weight, it will shut the passanger airbag off and notify you up by the radio somewhere with an orange light that almost looks like a button you can push. I get it all the time when my briefcase is on my passenger seat...
