Painting calipers, need opinions

Toying with the idea of painting my calipers next weekend but not sure on a color.

Thinking about a vibrant red but not sure it will go well with my
Color combo. Any suggestions?

Here is a close up of my wheels and then an overall shot

I'd say something dark like black (that's the colour I'm painting mine sometime too).

Inb4 someone mentions red calipers lol

with your theme, the only logical colour is highlighter yellow.

Here's a helpful tip I'll give you for painting your brake calipers, let them dry overnight if you can . Prevent brake caliper paint chipping/fading.

Is that the stock base calipers? or the brembos? I can't tell.. if that's the stock that's cool, I'd like to do that to my calipers. I wanted it to do mine Orange with black ACURA lettering or vice versa. I think the orange would be nice and kind of match the turn signal reflectors in the front. maybe just me

Those are the stock base calipers.

The M/T and Type-S Brembos are already painted black.

I like black or silver. All the other colors look cheesy to me. Red only looks good on Brembos on a real performance car.

Anyway, don't skimp on the prep work. I replaced my rears last year and also picked up new brackets from napa for like 30 bucks for the pair. I scuffed everything up well, treated them with rust inhibitor, then hit them with four coats of primer, four coats of high temp caliper paint, then baked them. After a year of upstate NY weather, they still look surprisingly good.

Dan, red is very cool. If you go with red, just splash some other area's with red (see pics of my grill and rear vent). Go to My Garage from the title of my signature to see it.

Type S Brembo's are black, which are boring.

Another option is this-if you're keeping the amber in your headlights, you can color your calipers the same color as the amber.

"Those pictures are of"? No. There's two pictures and one is of the front caliper and one is of the rear caliper.

Guitarplayer16, thank you for confirming that those are painted base brake calipers and for being helpful in answering questions people asked about my painted brake calipers .

BTW that beautiful girl in your display picture has a gorgeous smile.

I would go black. I an not a big fan of painted stock calipers. I once considered it when I had my CL and after seeing some of them I was glad I never did it.

Save the money and upgrade to bbk. Then you wouldn't have to paint anything!

Dude, relax. I was tired. I thought you were implying that the rear calipers came painted black on the Brembo cars. It's all gonna be ok.

Unfortunately, I don't. Check with your local auto parts store though. It might not be a perfect match, but you'll get close.

Yellow is sexy as hell....but reserved for when you have some badass wheels and brakes. Red it played out but can look good. I'd say a blue or black for your car

with stock rims and stock calipers, the last thing you want is your calipers standing out and drawing attention. If you must paint, go with black.
