Painting

I'm having my car painted this week and was wondering if anyone knew of ,better than average auto paint. I'm just looking for a name (brand). I want to purchase it separate from my auto body people and bring to them.
I doubt this has any realivance but im going with a flat whitish/silver base.
Thanks

PPG is what I use. They have good quality paint. I found this site on

http://www.paintforcars.com/

I think House of Kolor is also a good brand, although I have not used them before. I think they are more geared towards custom-mixed colors, but I could be wrong.

you are a fool to take your brand of choice to the painter-
the guy who is used to shooting 1 brand with all its special tricks known to him

If its a quality shop they already use one of the major names

want to save money? do some prep work before dropping the car off, wash and claybar the car

Thanks for such kind words. I'm having a relative shoot for me. He said to pick out what I wanted or was recommended. And we'd discuss what he likes and has experience with........then come to a conclusion.

Not sure how much this matters but I had my bumpers and some other things repainted and they used PPG and it came out matching perfectly. It actually matched better than the original paint lol

For those who care, I went with Dupont water based paint, Dupont 2.1 multi-purpose Clear, Dupont 2400 activator and PCL medium reducer.

I let you know how it turns out and post pics
