NASCAR stockers are wrapped.
There's a pickup in my area that is Line-Xed all over and I like it okay... for a truck.
When I was in high school in the 1950's in WV, there was a fad for cars in gray or black primer, whitewalls, and red painted steel wheels with baby moons or no caps at all, and lowered in the front only. I still have a soft spot for the primered look.

this makes me kinda interested! haha i was looking into getting a new painjob, MAYBE, and this would be pretty cool.
but a lot of concerns i agree with (ie. peeling, chipping, bubbling, fading, affect of hear, etc.)
my biggest question, it only lasts for 5 yrs? what happens then? is that when it will bubble or whatever... OR! is that when their warranty ends.
just need clarity on that part.

that would be flat black paint sir....
I do car wraps for a living. The 599 is def painted.
Also, for wraps, the laminate used to protect whatever color you are using isnt as shiny as car paint, and finding someone that can make it look absolutely perfect with no tears, stretches, or creases is about 1 in a mil.

and....$1500 to do my ass!
$1500 would just cover the labor/time to take apart and prep the car. To wrap a full car, like the BMW, through my company, would be like $3-4 grand at least.

After 5 years the adhesive starts to fail, as well as the ink will most likely start to stain your car. The good stuff (3m stuff) usually comes off pretty easily.
