Paint scrape/scratch - touch up?

Hi All,
I've read a bunch of threads here on touch up paint and such...My question is really pertaining to the size of my scrape...I was backing out of my spot this morning, and my mirror got scraped. It's a round scrape, on my mirror, probably about the size of a nickel...maybe just a hair smaller. Is that too big for a touch up pen? Just need some opinions on this - never touched up anythin before - thanks!

I guess it depends on if its a scrape or a scratch and how deep it is.

If you cannot fix it, I am sure it has to be pretty cheap to remove the mirror yourself and bring it to a shop for them to respray it.

hi - thanks for the response. It's def a scrape...goes to the plastic, it didn't damage the actual surface at all....just removed the paint. I was just wonderin' if anyone else had attempted this, since I know most ppl that touch up are usually doing it on scratches. This would be touch up paint going onto the plastic itself (not sure if i'd need primer?) but yes - if it doesn't look alright, I'll just go on over to the body shop. Cant imagine it would cost too much

I have a scrape on my rear bumper on the right size. Probably around the size of a nickel, but its definitely missing paint. Will touch up paint suffice? or do i need to take it in? Or can I just touch it up now, and take it in professionally if it doesnt work out or if i just get around to doing it right. basically, i'm asking if touch up paint will make an overall repair more difficult or do unwanted damage?
