Paint peeling poll

If you’re TL has some paint chipping or peeling, answer the pole.

I once had a bumper repainted and shortly after the repaint used one of those do it yourself high pressure booths to clean my car. I noticed the paint started to peal shortly after that cleaning.

You should give your paint AT LEAST three months to correctly cure and harden before you use these high pressure washers. This could possibly be the cause of the paint peeling.

Unless your car is caked in mud from four-wheelin', there's no need for a pressure washer.

Do not wait till your car get that dirty that you'll need a pressure wash. Use a garden pressure nozzle to wet your car before the wash. All snow country people this rule might not apply to you.

I'm not talking about a "true" pressure washer.

I am talking about the ones that you see in the drive by car wash booths.

Do you know what I am talking about? They look like little car ports and you put quarters into the machine for time.

This poll was to be answered by ONLY the people who are seeing paint peeling on their TL.

Are all you that answered having paint problems?

everybody answered because you were not explicit in the poll description... it doesn't mention anything about paint peeling in the question... I do have chips in my paint, and the paint it's really thin, which is bad.

Hmmm: well, I guess the poll should have said that, then.

As in "If you have a paint peeling problem, did you make it peel more by using a pressure washer?"

Since I have never heard of nor seen a TL with a paint peeling problem, I had no expectation that your poll related to that. Sorry, but there you go.

I regularly use a hp hose at the local car wash and the only thing that came off was the dealer's logo.
