Unhappy Paint fade spots problem on 04 TL

Hi, I just picked up my brand new 04 NAVI TL last week and did not opt for the complete A-spec package but only the 18" wheels and Yokohama tires. After the third day when the car got a little dusty, I decided to wash it myself and after drying the car, I noticed on the passengar side front hood about half way down on the hood, there were two spots about 3" in diameter that seemed kind of faded as compared to the rest of the paint. I thought it might just be dirty or some kind of film and washed the area again and dried i and it is still there. The paint looks normal, i.e, it is not chipping or bumpy or anything weird it looks perfectly normal but is seems there are two round spots that look like they are either faded or some kind of film.

Should I try waxing it and see what that does even though the car is brand new. Or do you think it warrants a visit back to the Acura dealer?

Thanks much,
rr

I would definitely alert your dealer as quickly as possible. If a simple hand wash didn't do the trick, that means a skilled professional will have to "cut down" the finish a bit to actually get those stains out of your hood. I know this firsthand as I had goose droppings on my car for 3 days while out of town and had to have my detail guy get them out.

I would call them ASAP and tell them what you found.
