Paint Cracking Near Headlight?

Did a search and couldn't really find anything. Anyone else have this problems? I have never seen it, even on our older cars. I was filling up at a gas station when I notice that the paint surrounding my headlights are almost all cracked at the gaps.

My car is an 04', so maybe this is expected? It just seems that since it's coming up now, it might continue to do so. Any ideas? Thanks!

I would assume it's been repainted with the bumper on the car.

I've had the same issue since we bought the car new in 2004. Never really got too much worse. Mute point for me now since I'm in the process of having the whole bumper cover replaced. Too many paint chips on the front end. It looks like TL acne
Although we have the same issue in virtually the same location as yours, it never got any worse despite repeated power washings.

I have an 04 TL and it has the same paint Cracks in the same area. My bumper plug paint came off because I went thru a touch less car wash. It's sucks because my sisters. 2000 Chevy venture paint is flawless and she only gives it a car wash once a year!

Mine has the same cracks around the headlight. I highly doubt that all of us have had a respray.

Could have been damaged at/through the dealership and therefore got a "touchup"

My bumper is 100% original never been repainted and I have the same problem...though I have taken the bumper off quite a few times and I am sure I could have chipped something when reinstalling it....its more pronounced for me where the bumper clips in on the sides above the wheel well.

I have a silver 2004 TL and my bumper had the same issue by the passenger headlight. The bumper paint was original. When getting my car serviced at the honda dealer the service manager suggested that I use a utility knife and cut off the pealing flakes and then use touch up paint to cover the bare plastic.

I did this and two years later it still looks good. I put a layer of touch up primer paint before putting on the final layer of silver paint. I used the 3M blue tape on top of the headlights to prevent getting paint on there.
