My buddy has a paint chip at the wheel wheel is there anything you can put to stop it from spreading.

 

Clean it and put clear nail polish on it. I did this on my 2000 Accord. Never rusted. I had to get my bumper repainted and asked the guy to also touch that up if he could. He was supposed to but, never did. I was paying out of pocket for all the paint work so not sure why he didn't. Other then he just plain forgot. I was in the hospital so I could not even drop the car off the day it was to be painted so my dad did.

Anyway the clear nail polish should protect it I think.
