Paint chip... rust inside.

Hey all... I got a small paint chip on my hood and there is a small rust spot forming where the bare metal is exposed. I got some touch up paint from the dealer. Should I just use the touch up paint and cover it up? Anything out there that I should use prior to touching it up?

If possible. try to sand off the rust with very fine (#240 maybe) sand paper to remove the rust cuz it is most probably just surface rust. Then prime it and touch it up. If the chip is too small where you can get a pointy sand paper in...meh, just touch it up, not worth the risk of scratching the paint. Hope this helps!

Yeah, it's a really small... i wouldn't be able to get sand paper in there. Maybe I'll try with a pencil eraser or something..
