Naw, he's just young. Some of the young 'uns need a little translation. Like this:

"I was thinking of getting my car, which I have named Tonya Lee, a new paint job. Currently she [my car] is silver with Quartz interior. She also has NAV, HP tires, mud guards and a wing spoiler. I will be installing an A-Spec kit, silver window tinting, and chrome rims. I am also thinking about installing back-up sensors. I am also thinking about painting her Electric Blue. Anyone repaint their car yet?"

Cut the young semiliterates some slack. It's not necessarily their fault; the culture and the schools are at least as much to blame.

I love how the translation came from a 56 year old. Who said there is no life after 40!!!

So much for early retirement - and what happened to school discipline? I had an English teacher that gave F's for one mis-spelled word - I hated here then, but love her now, as a long career as a technologist AND a journalist (audio and auto) have in part been the result of my ability to use the English language well - Miss Hickey, if you are still alive, God Bless you.

Now, you young un's, get with the plan - how one speaks and writes tells the world a great deal about you.

End of rant.

All of my English teachers in high school gave F's for a single misspelling or sentence fragment in a paper. I never had an English professor in college thanks to my excellent high school teachers; I never had to take an English course in college.

Here's a bit of advice for anyone who will listen: seek out the teachers that students complain are "too hard"; they will frequently teach you the most. I learned not only the subjects, but also valuable life and time management skills.

To have the car repainted right, you're talking about a high end body shop that will tear down the car to get at the door jams, inner hood and trunk areas, and remove the trim around the windows etc. You're looking at no less than $5K to do it correctly. After your investment, your car will be worth less resale wise as I'd assume the market for funky colored TL's is pretty slim. Good luck.

It is "hear, hear" and "resale". One of those life skills I learned was when unsure of something you learned but can't quite recall, always go with your first guess; it's usually right.

I honestly mean no offense to Rjanaconda but does the quote below bother anyone else as much as it bothers me? Makes me damn nervous to get on a plane. I'm glad I am a private pilot and can fly myself (and personally know my mechanics) LOL

Call me old-fashioned, but the way I see it is that if you want someone to take the time to read what you write, then you owe it to that potential reader to take the time to spell and punctuate correctly and to use correct grammar so that the reader won't have to waste a ton of time trying to puzzle through gibberish.

If I get a resume with typos from someone seeking a job, that candidate does not get an interview.
