Optimum Tire Pressure for Launch

At the 1/4 mile.

3G TL-S, 5AT.

In your experience and/or opinion, from manufacturers recommendations, what is the optimum Tire Pressure for a good launch.

Temps should be ~55* - 65* F, low humidity.

Romcomended Cold Pressures are 35F / 32R.

i lower mine to 25psi in front. It did show faster times, but a lot of people said it doesn't matter if we lower it because we have hard sidewalls, as opposed to the Slicks w/ soft sidewalls that work like a suctioncup to the ground.

^ I've heard that as well, and I've noticed that I bog at 23PSI or below, even with tires with a slightly softer than normal sidewall. I used to keep it at 26 for the track, but I'm going to try not lowering at all and see what I can do with 29+.

~Cheers~

P.S. Definitely raise the pressure in the rear to help keep the front planted. Us FWDs, need all the help we can get.

Take to the max cold psi out back to reduce rolling resistance and air down the front about 5 psi.
