Optima 02 VS 02 TL-S

so for a while now i have been thinking my moms KIA is pretty dam fast for a KIA (2002 kia optima with Sport shifter). I have raced it against my Camaro and it beats me everytime both from a Roll and from a Dig i also raced it against my moms newer Kia 2006.5 and it still beats it. i have had many encounters with diffrent kinda cars but the one i was most impressed with was when i was coming back down from BigBear racing both a SI and a mustang GT 00-02 we were all pretty even on hte freeway and we all pretty much floored it at the same time me on the left lane GT middle lane and SI right lane. we started at 80mph i was neck and neck with the GT and the SI was let behind right after 90mph at 125 i stated pulling away from the mustang GT and at 132 i was about a car length infront of him. ( i know what you guys are all thinking its a KIA NO F'n way it will keep up with and trust e those are exactly my thoughts) time after time i have beaten cars on the freeway my friends Eclipse spyder, Celica GTS, Camaro Z28 and i have always thought this just has to be wrong in some sort of way so i decided to race my Cousins 02 TL-S ( hes on hte forum as yungBuk) (this was when he had his other TL-S he just got another 02 TL-S instead of WDP its Blue) we did two runs from the first one was from a 25mph and we went up to 70ish and the whole time it was DEAD EVEN i couldnt believe it but even more so my cousin was like WTF? we also did another run from 40ish and this time he pulled half a car on me. again i kno what ur thinking this is not possible but trust me it exactly what i think as well specially cause its a KIA! anyways just thought i would share.

after thoughts:
1: 2002 Kia Optima unbelievably fast
2. Kia Optima vs Mustang GT vs Civic Si
3. 125 Kia stats pulling on mustang GT and SI is long gone.
4. Kia takes on other cars on the freeway
5. HOW THE HELL IS THIS POSSIBLE????!!!??!??!?!?!
6. decide to run the TL-S 02 s Kia Optima 02.... both Stock
7. 2 runs at 25mph and 40mph
8. 1st un Even nd run TL-S pulls .5 car on Optima

PS: the Optima is VERY VERY VERY slow from a dig.....and no mods have been done to this car

i sometimes get the optima or 350 for my rental car when im travelling and i have to say it gets up to speed fairly quickly. those thing are pretty light compared to my everyday TL. i don't believe the pulling on a mustang though @ 125. i've done 100 in it easy but it stopped really pulling after that, tiptronic and all.

i dont blame you for not believing it trust me i wouldnt either if i wasnt in a car. My best friend could have told me he pulled on a GT and i wouldnt believe him. i had never pushed the Optima past 120 but going downhill 120 was nothing another rhing is the Optima doesnt have a limiter and the GT might? im not sure if it does or not but im 100% sure the Optima does not.

Just did a little research on a 02 Optima, it has 178hp, 181lb/ft of torque, and weighs 1447kg. It's really amazing that you were able to keep up or beat those other cars!! May be your mom secretly modded it!

I think you should try racing other Optimas and see if your car is a special model
