I noticed this today when I was warming up my car around dusk. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this:

When you stare at the KPH scale and move your head around, the KPH scale appears to bounce around relative to the MPH scale.

Has anyone else experienced this or am I just crazy?

I was leaving work, so after staring at a computer screen for 10 hours may have been a contributing factor in this.

I will ask a few of my friends to sit in my seat and check it out.

If I still see this again in the morning, I will gladly welcome those guys with the white jacket.

 

Someone else said that a few months back. I know I've never seen any such thing.

Okay. I tried it again in the morning and nothing happened but I tried it at night and saw it again.

It seems to happen when the dash lights are at maximum and at night time. I know I am not crazy now.

Maybe it has to do with the frequency of the blue light and the curvature of the lens. I do not know. All I know is that I am not crazy anymore or that I am not alone in seeing this illusion.
