Opinions wanted on DRL/HID combo

I am changing all the lights in my TL this upcoming week and I am confused on what to get. Here is what I am considering, I was hoping fellow AZ members can chime in with opinions.

1. 8000k Headlights, 3000k HID Fogs with yellow overlay, Nokya 2500k DRL

2. 8000k Headlights, 8000k HID Fogs, Nokya 2500k DRL

3. 8000k Headlights, 8000k HID Fogs, DRL DELETE

Of course if I clear my headlights I will install white LED turn signals. I have white LED sidemarkers already. What are your opinions?

Ok I think I am going to put 3000k HID in my DRL 9006. Yes I know the DRL is designed to run at 9V or something but you can use "Error Cancel Cables". Sure they might not be practical but I think they would look very nice.

I hope they appear yellow if not I might put 8000k in there.

5000k Osram 66240 CBI or Philips 85122+ are the only two bulbs that would ever go into MY headlights. Fog lights I'd color match with the headlights.

For your DRL I'd suggest the nokya hyper yellow halogen bulbs. It will give you that great yellow look that your looking for.

8K is going to look a bit cheesy in my opinion, stick with a better color like 5 or 6K for the main beams. Remember the higher the Kelvin color (past 4300K) the less light output you get because of the tint on the bulbs!

3K HID fogs will look nice, I'd go with a simple yellow bulb and call it a day. As far as the DRL's go, I personally am not a fan of them on most cars but the TL (2007-2008) is done very tastefully. I'd go the route of some whiter ones (LED) or try dimming them with some higher wattage bulbs.

3000K HID's in the DRL is a BAD IDEA. JnC I think tried putting an HID in the DRL and it melted the whole shroud and surrounding portions!
