The M35x All wheel drive version starts at $40k and when you add the goodies like, technology and journey package with nav and 14 speaker stereo system( which blows away the shitty ELS system in our TL) , the price is $ 47k for a fully loaded CLASSY ride. The Infiniti has many more gadgets than even the RL can dream of for the same price and comes with 18" wheels right off the bat. Rl does NOT and looks UGLY compared to the SEXY M35. So yeah, for NOT MUCH MORE THAN AN A-SPEC TL at 40k , you get a car that blows away the TL and RL in terms of looks and quality IMO AND you get AWD

Well if it's so much better, why are you even asking? And if you go to the Infiniti Web site and build an M35, it's more than $50K when you add the premium package.

UHH, I NEVER SAID I ADDED THE PREMIUM PACKAGE FR 10K AND THE LAST TIME I CHECKED, THE PRICE ON THE WEB IS NOT THE PRICE YOU PAY. YOU CAN CLEARLY GET INTO A NEW M35X ALL WHEEL DRIVE BASE FOR UNDER 40K FROM ANY DEALER AND THE BASE ALREADY HAS MANY THINGS IN IT. I ADDED THE TECHNOLOGY AND JOURNEY PACKAGES FOR 6.5K WHICH INCLUDE NAV AND MANY MORE OTHER THINGS LIKE BLUETOOTH AND SICK STEREO SYSTEM ,.ANYTHING ELSE IS OVERKILL. THE CAR COMES STOCK WITH 18" WHEELS AND SUSPENSION LIKE THE A-SPEC INCLUDING ALL WHEEL DRIVE, SOMETHING THE TL WILL NEVER HAVE FOR ANOTHER 3 YEARS AT LEAST . YOU CAN BET THE PRICE WILL BE THOUSANDS MORE.THEN ANYWAY. TRY READING MY POST AND SEE THAT I ALREADY OWN A TL A-SPEC AND WAS THINKING OF TRADING SO I WAS ASKING OPININS OF OTHERS WHO MAY HAVE LOOKED AT OR WILL CONSIDER LOOKING AT ONE BEFORE PURCHASING THEIR TL OR RL. STOP ASSUMING THINGS , READ MY POST WHERE I CLEARLY STATE THE PRICE AND TRY OFFERING A SUGGESTION INSTEAD OF THE SNY PISS POOR ATTITUDE AND REMARKS

I DIDN'T SAY I HAD THAT MUCH MONEY, I WAS JUST DROOLING OVER IT AND WONDERING IF PEOPLE THOUGHT THE SAME AS ME. ALSO, IT'S NOT ABOUT BUYING JUST ANY CAR, IT'S ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE THAT YOU PAY FOR, LIKE FINE DINING. TRY EATING MCONALDS AFTER HAVING LOBSTER AND CAVIER. YOU JUST CANNOT GO BACK EVEN IF IT COSTS YOU AN ARM AND LEG. THE RL PALES IN COMPARISON TO THE M IN MY OPINION. IF THAT'S WHAT ACURA CALLS THEIR TOP OF THE INE FLAGSHIP?, THEY HAVE A LOT OF LEARNING TO DO. Well, you also have an annoyingly long nick name that screws with the board's formatting, you began each word in your original message with a capital letter, and now you're using all caps. Definitely reeks of troll to me.

Well I didn't know my long name would screw with the boards format until after it was created. I cannoy change it now. # 2, I did not intentionally make my original post all caps, the board automatically does that for some reason sometimes and you can ask other members the same thing. # 3 I had my caps lock key stuck on and didn't think of turning it off until now.. happy? oh any btw, stop being a punk 22 year old KID who things they are a smart ass and whom also has an annoyingly short name themselves. Probably relates to other aspects of you body if you ask me!

Thumbs up

I was checking M35X, approximately $50k+ price tag, recently. Its stereo is awesome, and the improved Navi Voice Command System seems better than my 04TL's. The driving experience was so good.

That's one of the vehicles I may buy... not trade up. IMHO.

Imho...

I'm not the big fan of Infiniti or G, and have anticipated to see the great thing from the new GS. However, I was a little disappointed with Lexus this time (I know GS will still sell very well), and start to like M more and more (although I prefer Fuga more than M).

M and TL are all great cars, but they are in the different categories. Good to know someone is interested in buying that...

Btw, WHAMBAMNEW2004TLASPECMAN, you could email to Admins: Astroboy and ask him to change your username for you.

True but the same goes for the TL. You're comparing a fully loaded TL with A-Spec with a non-fully loaded M35. Many people paid less than 40K for an A-Spec w/Navi. Conservatively speaking, you're probably going to pay about 20 percent more for the M35, so I would expect it to be better. The M looks like a great car, and perhaps better than the TL in many ways, but you get what you pay for IMO.

And, sorry, but when your post count is in the single digits, and you come here saying the M35 blows away the TL and our shitty ELS system for not that much more money (I can consider 20% more to be significant), you can bet you're going to get piss poor attitudes and remarks. Come in here with a better attitude and you'll get a better attitude in return.

Well in my opinion the M45 looks like a shoe box. I wouldn't buy that ugly thing over an RL or better yet a GS300/GS400. I think an 2006 AWD GS kills that car in so many catagories. But, It's your money so why the hell do you care what we think?

I have seen the M35X and without the extras it stickers at 43K. Stunning interior, nice contemporary exterior. The best thing Infiniti has done to date. Priced to compete with Acura, Lexus and I think it is a real challenger. If I had 43K to spend I'd buy it. Now if I had 49K to spend......

I really don't know where you get off with this lack of quality kick, or even saftey for that matter. Tell that to my friend that has a multiple of problems with his G35 from electrical to transmission problems or another friend that has a IS300 and had to spend $6,000 on a whole new engine. Tell that to them about Infiniti or Lexus quality. Now I do admit the RL styling is a little safe but It still is a fine car, as well as the TL. I went to the auto show last night and MAN! the GS Stole the show. It is much sexier and sleeker in person than in the book. It did have a sticker shock though. The GS300 had asticker of $52,000 and the GS430 had a sticker of $62,000. The LS430 had a sticker of $63,000. I really don't understand that. Grant the $52,000 GS300 was loaded comparable to the RL but I didn't see anything it had over the RL except styling. The salesmen boast how Lexus will come out with a new car every 6 months for the next 3 years and that they were going to take a serious attack on the auto luxury industry. They even boast that they have a serious answer to the new S class and the current BMW 745 when the new LS comes out in 18 months as well as their new 10 million dollar facility with 2 showrooms, parking on the roof and a capachino room with 6 waiting rooms ect. I,wish Acura would get this fire behind them. The salesmen at Acura kept on having to speak on the RL'S behalf by saying you really have to drive this car to appreciate it. I know the RL is a lovely car but the styling did not speak for itself espically with those bland wheels. The M35 was nice also. Especically the interior. Both the M and the GS were nice but MAN the GS really surprised me. Tome Itlooks a little better than the M. In person the M has a lot of the Altima's styling which is not a bad thing but Toyota does not have another car to remind you of the GS.

Acura has been making improvements with the styling of the TSX and TL, but I think the RL is a step back. Very bland IMHO.

It just goes to show you how subjective looks are...

I think the M is the most fun car to drive out of the bunch (M, GS, RL) but I think it has got the worst exterior appeal. I really like the RL (especially the front) both inside and out in terms of looks, and it would only be better if they made 18s standard.

Meh... uncomfy seats in the M

That said, at 50K, we're talking about a different type of car compared to what most of us looked at when comparing the TL.

PS: Anyone who paid over 40 for an ASPEC is on crack

i personally like the new M from infiniti, i think what they have done with their new line of cars is great. however the 50K price tag is something to consider right now with the options i want. also the car is geared much more toward the luxury ride and does not offer a 6MT version of the car. it probably wouldn't make too much sense to offer it anyways as there is probably a very small population that would want a manual tranny with this type of car.

I don't know about the new M, but have you guys that like the new Lexus DRIVEN one? I just took out a GS330 AWD on Friday. It's a BOAT compared to the TL! Felt much like a Camry to me. They didn't have a 430 to drive which I'm sure has nuts, but damn, 240 HP or whatever in the GS330 is NOT enough for that car. I was happy to get back in my TL.

The GS300 is clownin! That car looks really agressive from the front. Its just the back that looks a little weird to me. But a car will always take time to build on me. It's funny I i've seen the m35 driving around, and this guy had a GTR emblem on it. I said to my girlfriend, "Oh look babe, a skyline!" <---- sarcasm......I guess the guy wasn't thinking.

A. You're a fucktard and a troll. Get your facts straight.
B. Who gives a shit about lobster, caviar, and mcdonalds.
C. The Rl ranks at the top of its class in safety, just like the TL. It comes standard with just about every freakin feature you could want, and is extremely well built. In fact, I dont believe the M offers the XM Realtime traffic monitoring feature. Having driven one, I prefer its interior to that of an M.

I'm sure the M35/45 drives great, but the exterior is too undistinctive. The body profile looks a lot like that of a Maxima. And it seems (at least from the pics) that the "piano" style dash would be cumbersome to use.

Well first of all, the TL and M are not even meant to competer with eachother so I don't know why your comparing the two. The RL is supposed to compete with the M, and it does very well.

Additionally, an M35X configured with the Technology and Journey Package which make it comparable to the RL is actually $50,000. Plus we all know hp sells. In addition to the RL costing less when equiped similar to the M35X, it also has 300HP compared to the M's 280.

I'm sure the M35/45 drives great, but the exterior is too undistinctive. The body profile looks a lot like that of a Maxima. And it seems (at least from the pics) that the "piano" style dash would be cumbersome to use.

You should look at both these cars right after one another the m looks way better than the rl even the interior the m's interior is the best in this class right now. the rl interior is boring.

alot of cars are shaped like the maxima and the altima is what started it. From saturn even the gs300 has the shape look at the car properly.

i dunno, i wasnt quite feeling the one piece look doorpanels that lacked a quality look to them. The RL's door panels by comparison are done beautifully in a two tone colow scheme that shouts upscale. Like I said, it seems as if the M35/45 controls would be hard to use in a "piano" layout whereas the RL has a traditional waterfall dash that mixes modern (the silver part witht the controls) with tradiotnal (the huge fat thick strip of burled walnut that runs across the dash. Sure the infiniti has rosewoood trim but the dash seems kind of boring to look at. Just my 2 cents.

Now as far as driving dynamics are concerned, I wasnt too impressed with the RL. Wasnt much steering feel, and it felt kinda floaty and underdamped. Maybe that was just a first impression. From what I've heard about the M, its drving dynamics are A+

This is how I think of it. You look at a TL and an Accord (both share platforms etc.) and you can't tell that one is just an upscale version of the other. They both truly look like different cars, and drive like different cars. The M on the other hand could clearly be mistaken for a maxima or for that matter a new gs, IMO, as far as the body profile is concerned. It is also is kinda undistinctive to look at: the headlights are character less, the tailights coulda come from anything. The RL looks distincitive, not exciting or dfaring, but at least its distinctive, and I can easily spot it.

Just my 2 cents.
