Opinions on a good insurance
I live in So.Cal. and currently insured with 21st Century. Since i have two points on my DMW record, they are charging way too much in my opinion.
Just wanted to know a good reliable insurance company with a good premium.
Thank you in advance.

State Farm is supposed to be pretty good and with reasonable rates.
I've found Amica to be amazing - you can probably find cheaper rates elsewhere, but they are really good at protecting you and making your life easy in the event of an accident. Very friendly, great customer service etc. I'd stay away from the cheap-o places with the heavy tv-advertising

I like State Farm. Their premium was a little more than half whate Geico was charging me. I have no idea who Geico saves 15%, but it sure wasn't me.
I assumed that if I ever had an accident SF would be a real pain, because they had the lowest premium and you get what you pay for. I wrecked my RSX Type-S on a Wednesday morning, my fault - ticket was following too closely - they totalled it out Thursday afternoon, I had a check in my hand Friday morning at the claim center, and I drove off in my CPO TL at about 2pm Friday afternoon. The best part is my rates went down after the accident because the TL has 2 more doors.

There's an option to lower your insurance payment: buy a beater car.
I once had 3 points in my driving record. Long story. At that time I had an 00 Accord and a 95 Accord. Overall, I paid about $900/6 mo for 2 cars. The 00 Accord had full coverage and the 95 had liability only. IF, I didn't have the 95 Accord, my premium would have been around $1300/6 mo for full coverage of just the 00 Accord.
It's because most insurance companies will put your bad driving record on the cheaper car.
So, if your driving record isn't clean, buy like a Geo Metro or something similar. Put liability only on the Geo and fully insure your TL.
BTW, I had Farmers.

Try Auto Club (Automobile Club of Southern California, ACSC, which is AAA). I switched to ACSC from State Farm about 15 years ago when I moved from Bay Area to Los Angeles. State Farm's rates then were 2nd best, after ACSC. I still check rates, and 21st Century's premium estimates in last 3-4 years were always higher by at least 20% than my ACSC rates. One caveat- the estimates were for policies with the good driver discount.

I have State Farm and have no issues, but then I haven't had any claims. My co-worker has Allstate, and his daughter left her keys in the car, and it was stolen. They replaced the car with a brand new car, and it was a '06 instead of the '05 that was stolen. I couldn't believe they would do that...especially since she was so retarded leaving the keys in the car in Philadelphia...a noted high theft area. Allstate treated him (daughter) great...but I'd expect his premiums will go up next year. This was the second claim....last year she wrecked the car, Allstate fixed it just fine. They sold the car, and only weeks after she got a new Toyota, it was stolen due to her stupidity. Allstate should have dropped her after the first accident.

I work for an insurance co. and those two points hurt you in the amount of good driver discount you receive. I would def shop around with some of the well known co but keep in mind that with most co credit has a big thing to do with your rates.

If you are a college grad, perhaps Liberty Mutual would be good for you. They do a lot of affinity marketing and have relationships with many alumni associations.
