I just bought an 04 Acura TL and it came with no keyless remotes. After a couple of weeks I couldn't stand it any more. My girl bought a 06 Acura TSX about a month ago and her car came with a remote but it was all beaten up so she bought a new one. I took her old one and tried using it on my car. It accepted it right away. The only problem is now it locks/unlocks both cars! LOL. Yes I know I'm an idiot. So how do I fix this? This way when I try to pop the trunk it doesn't pop both trunks. Is there anyway to completely reset the remote I am using so it doesn't work on her car? Thanks for the help. I appreciate it...

 

Hmm I remember reading that there is a specific way to program the key to your car, but I can't think of the thread... Trying googling and adding the words "Acurazine" at the end of your search and you may be able to come up with something.

If all else fails, bring it to the dealership to have them program it

I assume that your wife would have to do the same procedure to her TSX, so that it doesn't recognize her old key.
