One day...

I will beat a reg. 3rd gen TL, it's my goal to accomplish by this spring

As of now this is where I stand....

From a Roll: Oh hell no, that was embarassing, that's in the CL Street Encounters forum....

From a Dig...
So me and my friend meet up @ the usual light before the sun even rises (somehow we were both extremely early to school), he gives me the glare and I'm like yes, this is my chance for somewhat of a payback, so anywho the light goes green..... I jump him (thank god for RWD)... And I keep walking on him! So I'm thinking I'll be able to atleast clear his bumper before it's all over but then.... 2nd gear.... It was all over in a blink of an eye, the TL took off like it was on NOS (He's stock and so am I), now my thoughts were exactly what happend... He had VSA on so I think he didn't get allot of power through first gear which is even why I even thought I had a chance all through 1st... My quick question to you guys is... is this true? Does VSA really hold the TL's back that much? if so, i need to focus on smaller fries and stop going for big potatoes....

You need to focus on smaller fries. I am assuming you have a 04 V6 Mustang. If you are a auto then there is nothing you could do unless you had a supercharger. If you are a 5spd that will up your chances but in reality it will take more than I/H/E/P on that to even keep up with a TL in the high end. Your motor is built for torque and not high end power.

My friend has a 00 V6 mustang with the roush body kit with side exhaust and a Intake. He lost by several car lengths to my dad in his 98 Accord V6 with just a K&N drop in filter and mufflers by about 85MPH.

Not even. My friend's 2002 5-Sp V6 with I/H/E/P (and some other shit) still gets destroyed by me. I can pull a 3G, but not by NEARLY much as I pull him. That thing needs an SC to beat a 3G.

In re to above: Yes, we're both Auto, and it was w/ the Mustang, the camry doesn't do races anymore, just speedo-pegs when the highways are empty.

Haha it is just a dream that'll never be accomplished like I thought, just that glimpse in 1st Gear I thought I was doin sumfin, but then he did have VSA on.... Well Onto 1st Gen CL's then, that car didn't slaughter me.... that much...

Re-read my post you quoted. I said that it would take more than I/H/E/P on the 5spd stang to keep up with a TL. He would need FI or Nitrous! lol

He has a auto anyway.

Oops, sorry I mis-read it. Just was REALLY pissed about how stupid and power-mad some people can be.

LOL...i hope you've been keeping an eye out on the 1st gen CL board then, we've got some serious modding going on over there. I see you're in texas, if u wanna race a 1st gen you should send Cocoa a PM lol

Maybe you'll have to stick to tegs if u wanna pick on the acura family!
