OMFG are you kidding meeeeeeeeeeeee UGH

So I wake up for work get ready walk out to my car and what do I see? Good guess...my f****** driver side rims both gone, my car sitting on a rock like piece of s***...and she is looking so sad and depressed. Just like her owner. Call Geico and of course they can't tow it because they can't find a tow company with loaner wheels to move it. So now I have to call Acura when they open and see what they can do because I can't leave her like that for 5 days for a claims adjuster to come look at it. WTF why are people such assh*oles and haters.

And I can tell you what come Saturday cameras are going up all around my house.

Pictures to come later

wow...if you live in a house why don't you park your car in your garage?

Get some wheel locks for your new rims and ensure nothing else is damaged.

well if his car was parked like it is in his avatar, they probably could only gain access to the drivers side wheels.

OP, sorry brother. this is happening more and more (especially in NY it seems). i hope everything gets worked out for you in a timely manner. i hate to see stuff like this.

anything else damaged?

It could turn out into a positive thing...here's what you could do to turn this arround...get your jack out, remove both passenger wheels and include this in your insurance claim!!

Voilà! you now have 2 more wheels in case the guy comes back :P or if your girl scratch your wheels :P hihihi!

I would be very nervous at this point. They will come back for the two new ones that you replace the stolen ones with.

Let me add to the wheel lock suggestion. If you're going that route, get two sets so that it'll be more difficult to steal the next time around. Sure, it'll be more difficult when it comes time for tire rotations, but peace of mind is better than nothing.

Heinous. Good luck with the insurance hassle, OP. Hope you get her back rolling soon.

I'm wondering where all these are going. I'm on a tuning forum and have searched all over for wheel info and looked at hundreds if not thousands of car pics and I don't see any other makes or models sporting TL stockers, A-specs, or waffles. There must be a shady market for replacement rims that feed other TL drivers, either knowingly or unknowingly.

Pics of my pain

So to answer some questions...
1. This happened in LI Valley Stream so I recommend regardless of area get wheel locks put a camera on your car sit in a chair nearby with a shotgun whatever but protect your baby

2. The garage wasn't available at the time though now it is going to be "made" available from here on out

3. They would have gotten all 4 rims but like sharksbreath said my passenger side is right near the curb so they couldn't get them off.

I have had so many incidents with this car from someone cracking my windshield to an unavoidable accident and now this I am taking it as a sign that G-D doesn't want me to have this car. I waited so long and was so happy when I got it and I am not even enjoying it anymore.

As of now I filed a claim, I had to drive to my Acura dealer to get a loaner rim and am now waiting for a tow truck to come and put the wheels on and tow my car to their lot where it will have to sit another "up to" 5 days waiting for my insurance claim adjuster to look at it before I can get it fixed. I have to pay out of pocket $500 to put my car back to how it was and I am just so frustrated and fed up with it all.

Invest in some poisonous snakes and chain them to the car or around the car...LOL. Doubt you will have anymore problems. Actually old pot growers do this to ward off cops and other peepers.

That blows man! Sorry about that! 2 Months ago some one tried taking my Type S rims but didn't realize that my bedroom window is right next to my car...I have a mosberg 500 Tactical Persuader shotgun with an optical sight, grip, and laser sight...boy were they surprised when I snuck out the back and cocked 1 shell casing out of it so they knew it was real. I have 2 pairs of hand cuffs at home and forced them to hand cuff each other and sit on the floor while I called the cops!! I was really close to shooting one...thank god I didn't have too. Everyone in my neighborhood knows not to touch my car since!

NY....nuff said. Every single stolen wheel post comes from either NJ or NY. Glad I dont live up in that region.
Sorry this had to happen to you and that they damaged your car in the process. Just an FYI im sure insurance will be taking care of this, but those lower side panels are available painted from acura for under $300 bucks for the entire side. May I also recommend getting a place with a garage :-)

He has one, but wasn't available at the time that this had happened. That's why he said that he's going to "make" available after this incident.

Btw...I did have 1 wheel look on each tire and they were too stupid to realize it after removing 4 bolts I heard the clinging of medal which saved me time to get my shotty....they did damage the passenger side pillar trying to get into my window and scratched 1 rim...but they had to pay all cost and got 1-3 years in prison. I honestly felt the look on their shaking pale faces, starring at a barroll of a shotgun was enough punishment...but when I saw the damaged I pressed charges and wanted them to get records.

I live in North Bergen NJ...pretty good neighborhood and 2 type S owners by me had their tires stolen. Get wheel locks...it buys you more time and makes it harder for them to steel...you can hear the bastards trying to drill into your wheel lock with the a screw and gater grip it out! But its better then nothing...thats what they use on mine and still had trouble taking it off and its too noisy. Get 2 wheel locks!!! on each tire. Its worth it!! $40 for 1 set of 4 is good. At least now I have a free Gater Grip bit for my drill that I took from them.

wow thats crazy...and this is why I give civic/rsx or any non TL type S sporting a TL Type S rims a dirty look. Hell if it wasnt illegal I wouldve beat the shit out of the cars owner just for putting a typeS rims on a non typeS car. OP, any finger prints on those lugs? Good luck with the insurance.

Valley Stream? That figures. Valley Stream is one of those parts of LI that's gone way downhill in recent years. When I was a kid, my mudda used to take me to the Green Acres shopping Center Mall all the time. Nowadays, you couldn't pay me to set foot in there. Gang activity (L.A. style) has also been on the rise in Nassau County the last few years.

When everything gets settled, make sure to install wheel locks!

i wonder if investing in wheel locks would have helped prevent this from happening. I cant believe they used a rock, they could have at least used a brick with a flat surface so that it could balance properly, but no they had to be mean and ruthless.

Dang that's messed up. Yeah get some wheels locks. It may not prevent it from being stolen but maybe next time they'll think twice and move on to a different car that seems easier to jack. Anything to slow them down ya know?

Acura has a bunch of different wheel locks and keys. I was trying to use a buddy's OEM wheel lock key from his 06 TL on my 07 TL and could not take the key lug nut off.

Welcome to the "I got my Fing Type S wheels Jacked" club! I've been a member for 2 years now. Acura has made a fortune on this scam, their shit wheel locks do little. My 4 wheels were stolen & Ins company wound up paying $7,000 for new ones PLUS new rocker panel & spoiler kit which got crushed laying on bricks. No more going to malls, shopping centers etc. The people stealing them have POS civics and put them on their cars.

Sorry for what happened OP. Whoever did that was a douchebag!

And this is why I'm happy I have a garage with cameras (just in case). My neighborhood is not too bad, but I still take extra precautions to ensure this kinda crap doesn't happen to me.

Good choice on installing the cameras and putting your car in a garage.
