Is it ok to tint during winter?
This maybe a stupid question, but is it ok to tint during winter? Or should I wait until the warmer months to decrease the chance of bubbles, although it has been in the high 60's down here in Atlanta.

I hope so .. I'm getting my back quarters fixed tomorrow
There are others on here who know way more than I do about this, but my installer said the only thing is it may take a bit more time to cure ... just be gentle with it for the first week.

It's perfectly fine to tint in the Winter. The window will still get hot because the glass retracts the sun's heat. You may need to leave it out in the sun for an additional day or two buts that’s it. The statement above that says bubbles are not caused by the weather is a false statement. That's actually moisture that's trapped inside the tint that needs to dry. The installation also plays a factor. G'Luck!

OK, I do tinting for a living and it is perfectly fine to tint during the winter months. As stated above it will take a little longer for the film to completly cure. You may have a few water pockets or water bubbles for a while. This is normal. The water in the film does need to evaperate and this will require a little more heat or sunlight.
I would say get it done whenever you feel like it, just know that sometimes these water spots/pockets/bubbles take additional time to cure in colder weather.

Thanks EG! I just dont know why the tinter would bring that up right away. He said that he does not want to cancel my appt. but he wanted to be up front with me and tell me that it is cold and sometimes the tint does not dry as good as it would in warmer situations.
