oil: sticker or MID?

oil: sticker or MID?

which do i go by? the sticker says 30,000 (im about 600 miles from that) and the MID says 80%....which is the correct one??

MID. I'm @ 22,500 at 10% oil life (servicing it this afternoon) but my sticker says 20,100. I service it when the car tells me to, not when the dealer tells me to.

Yeah, most of the oils have more capacity than the dealers give them. Somehow, in the 80's cars had longer oil change intervals, and now, after oils AND filters have gotten MUCH better. Strange considering they should last longer huh?

It is a matter of trust. Who do you trust more: Honda engineers or local dealer?
