I searched for "oil" but the word is too short to search.
Anywayz, I currently have 3500 miles on my TL-S but my oil life is still at 50%. Does this mean that I can go 7000 miles without changing the oil?

 

My 06 TL I purchased back in spring of this year logs 10% reduction at every ~600 miles. Mine is used mostly for commuting with ~25mph and weekend outings. I had oil and filter change done when it was at ~5000miles.

 

Most of the members who are real knowledgeable about engine lubrication would advise you to change your first time factory fill by 3000 miles. Yes, most likely the MID will say there is more time left with your oil and yes, the manual advises not to change the original fill before the MID tells you to do this. But several of these buys have had the factory fill analyzed and found that the breakin package is wearing down seriously by 3000 miles.

So based upon that, I would suggest changing your oil as soon as is practical.

 

I changed mine at 3K miles. There after I followed the MID
