Oil filter the beat up subject..
So I wanted to share with most of you about a site that I had saved at work...and should have found it before but, better late than never...Hope is not a repost...

Nice study....but note that the Supertech filters they tested were not of the latest Ecore version, which has felt endcaps instead of the metal.
However, I have a slightly offtopic
that I'd like to add about oil filters, while I'm at it.
Most filters on the market, yes Fram Extra/Tough Guard yes, will work well for 5,000 mile service intervals. It is simply an over reaction on this site and especially on BITOG that using a Fram is a death sentence. Yes, their ADBVs do have issues, but then again, I have not seen a Fram ADBV failure "kill" an engine, nor have I ever seen a Fram fail completely.
The main reason why I do not recommend using Fram Extra/Tough Guards or the Fram Honda OE filter is because it is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. Considering that you pay at least $3.99 for a Fram, why not just buy a Supertech Ecore Filter for $2.07 and you can a slightly better filter that can do the job just as well?
If Frams were onsale for $1.99, I would give them a bit more respect, at least in terms of price.
