You mean the engine oil, right?

IMO, it's not the synthetic, but regular in addition to special formulation with some of additives, (someone ever said it has molybdenum and other stuff).

Checking your oil weekly and make sure it's never going upder the mark. Keep it until your MID indicates you to replace.

Or, you absolutely could change your engine oil any time you want... it's your car.

Not so fast, podner.

There are always two opinions:

The analysis has been done - many of us chose to drain our factory fill, to get the possible leftover sand and silicone and other adulterants out of there, while still providing the "nutrients" Honda thinks are important, by adding the MLEP. Consider it before you throw away the key.

RR, I saw your reply "... ...I changed at 850 miles, adding the full can of Mr. Moly and one bottle of MaxLife Engine Protector. Khan is all ready for the Blue Ridge drive of the Mid-Atlantic/Hampton Roads gang this Sunday. I am doing MR294's diff tomorrow evening with LE-607... ..."

So, you're kind of against to stay with MID reading, but going to replace your 04TL's engine oil at about the same time with the similar oil, right?
