Oh Smudge?

I looked at my passenger side headlight today and it had what appears to be a paint or drywall smudge on it. Doesn't look like an actual scar of the headlight (crossing-fingers).

Does anyone know of a non-abrasive product (liquid) I can use to remove it? I tried some fingernail action, but don't want to scratch the clear housing.

You know, a little squirt, squirt, rub, rub?

Hmm... that's almost naughty (if reversed).

Anyone?

Wow, with all the Mr. Clean and Zaino detailers here, I thought for sure I'd get a few suggestions on smudge removal (seems abit caked on).

I don't have a hose available to do a hand wash, so I need some detailing, smudge mark cleaning tips.

I used 3M Wax and Adhesive Remover in an aerosol can for some adhesive left on my TL from shipping....I was pleased with the results. Perhaps this would assist you with your "smudge". Hard to tell exactly what the smudge is without seeing it though.

That 3M product soulds like a solvent. I wouldn't use it on plastic... Water and soap is the best bet.

Novus (No. 1 Spray & Shine or No. 2 Fine Scratch Remover) cleaner and polish products work well on plastic and plexiglas. They can be found at local motorcycle shops and also at your regional airport where it's popular among small aircraft owners. Good luck, Jim

Good deal. I'll hunt down some of those products.

Soap and water didn't seem to work. Although, I didn't apply much pressure. I did run a fingernail over it and it does feel like a layer on the lens and not a groove.

So the hunt begins.

Thanks all!
