Oh the PAIN

So my 05 TL has had a 2 scratches.
1) Caused by my garage door handle and me pulling up too close to the door. Not very bad, not very noticable.
2) Caused by the detail shop that gave it its first detail. Gouged the rear bumper.

Now this.

This happened in the lot across the street from where I work. And of course no one saw anything. My co-workers went home about an hour before I did and they dont recall seeing it. I dont suspect my co-workers and this lot is used by alot of other people.

I will be taking this to a StateFarm "First Whatever" shop tomorrow to hear the what the damage is.

I went out to the lot today to look for some white cars and of course all the white cars that normally park on the side of the lot that I do arent in today. There are 2 cars I suspect and then are not here. Just my luck.

The lot is seperated to Monthlys(which I am), Early Birds, and then Transients. The transients usually leave their key with the attendents. The attendents are there until 6PM, then some nights it switches to Valet from local restaurants using the lot, which was happening last night. The were filling up the other side of the lot when I went to my car and I dont really suspect them either.

I am guessing it was someone leaving for the day and driving an mini-van or SUV.
There are no scratches that I can see in my paint, just dents. I havent brushed/wiped off the offenders paint just yet. Will leave that for the body shop.

It seems like it's always the Minivans or SUVs. When I park at work now I park in between four gigantic poles. The only vulnerable spot is my front end.

So I got an estimate for my door.
$1305 and its a new skin for the door which I was hoping for and was going to demand. Minus my $500 deduct.

I also asked the shop to estimate the scratches on my bumpers which are relatively small and isolated. They quoted me at $751 dollars!!!! I can get the A-Spec bumpers for that price can I not?!?!?!
Both the front and rear bumper can be fixed/painted in an hour. They want to charge me labor for removing each bumper(1hr each) and paint.
The shop said they will try redoing the numbers, after I told them I can buy new bumpers for what you are quoting me.

I totally agree there!! Sucks...

My TL got scratched like that a few months ago on the street where I live...figured it was some drunk driver. She's fixed now, but I am super vigilant.

Yah..I need to move...

Good luck!

I agree, Worcester does suck! That's why I moved. Hate those people whom honk their horns early in the morning and late at night. Why can't they just ring the damn doorbell or use their cell phones?

So I was supposed to pick up my car today, but....................
There was more damage than expected.
The intrusion beam of the door was damgaged, so I am getting a whole new door. The door has to be painted and hung. I don't know what speed my car got hit, but I didn't think it would be this bad.

The shop doesn't bother to call and tell me this and still tries to make their "expected" delivery date.
Yesterday when I called they said it was scheduled to be delivered today. Today I had to call TWICE to get this info from them.

Now I have to wait until Thursday evening or Friday afternoon to get my car back.
I am stuck driving a Jeep Renegade. I should go "Renegading" through the parking lot.
I am sooo angry and want me car back sooo badly, that its making me angrier.

But a word of advice, if your TL gets hit in the door at more than 5 MPH you probably are or should be getting a new door.

I wasn't informed of the additional damage and the hit and run are the cause of my "bitchin".

What happened to you? Accident or hit and run?
