Okay guys, it's happened to all of us and it's a good thing. It's nice to be humbled every once in a while. haha So let me hear about 'em, what are your losses?

I'll start.

- Toyed around with a corvette on the highway a couple months back and was absolutely destroyed (obviously) but he and I were cool about it. Nice guy. 5 runs from a roll and he put bus lengths on me everytime. Btw, they sound amazing!

- 04(?) GTO. 1st time from a 30 roll (bad position in 2nd gear). He probably wasn't stepping on it cause I kept up until 4th gear (LAG). 2nd time, roll from 3rd gear around 4000rpm. He had about a half - 3/4 of a car on me the whole way through till I hit 4th gear. Then, gone, easily put 3 car lengths on me in a matter of seconds. Gave the guy a thumbs up and he did the same and we went our seperate ways.

- 06 Vette. From a dig once. I just wanted to switch lanes so I came off the line kinda' hard. After I switched into his lane he switched into my left lane and took off like a bullet. lol

other than that, no losses yet . It's not that I'm lying, it's just that I don't get a lot of action haha.

 

About that first Corvette, you would have gotten the point that you would be spanked after the first 1 or 2 runs right?

Besides that, be careful on the roads and don't race so much. You're only 17.

 

haha nice I like to dick around with faster cars too it's fun. So far the only legit loss I had was to a 1995 BMW 740iL. 60mph roll I dropped into 3rd and let it rip he was right on me after and by middle of 4th around 100mph he passed me fairly quickly. I'm bone stock though so it's hard to compete with 282hp and 270tq+

heading home at 3 in the morning on an empty highway i was cruising at 70ish n i noticed a black audi coupe pacing me i was curious how well the A5 performed so i planted my right foot, i quickly found out it was an S5 n i got owned

About 2 years ago my dad and i were on the Southern state going to queens from my uncle house, when on the left lane we saw a yellow Poshe 911 GT2, so we down shifted into 3 and started to accel when the poshe did the same and dipped on use, all u saw a little bit of smoke from the exhaust and you hear the amazing exhaust tone and we never saw saw again. Talk about getting owned lmao.

Last year summer, we were on the conduit right next to Burger King on Rockaway when we saw a blue SRT-4, so we were at the red light and my dad started to accelrate and rev the car up whilw the car moved and the guy in the SRT-4 stepped on the gas hard, all you heard was wheels spinning, the turbo spouling and exhaust popping and cracking to the max, it was so loud. Their was a good amount of trafficso the guy was on the right lane, he was out and their came a second SRT-4, a red one the was behind him. When i looked on other forums, that Blue srt-4 had a more than 550 hp to the wheels, and every now and then he passesby my school spinning wheel, , and making the exhaust make a lot of noise. One time he even shut up the whole class when they where talking lol.

 

coming home from work tonight i just punched it to get on the highway and clean her out, soi look to my left and next to me is a bentley coupe gt. man oh man was he gone in a heartbeat. lol was pretty impressive to see that thing go at 80mph

I used to think my TL was quick, now it feels like a total dog after I picked up my Vette. The C6 power is just straight insane.

it gets kinna hard to here about all the wins against cars with 50-75 more hp then the OP's car.

I feel you did. I want to change my style of driving as well to more of a VIP but without the slammed look to go with it. I need to save on gas lol, for a 4banger I get the MPG of a V8 lmao. Plus last night I got pulled over doing 46 on 35 and was let go, so today I was driving like a good kid lol...I need to keep it up.

My 07 Type-S got owned (pretty badly) by a Neon SRT-4 on Main Street driving home from QC. Twice from light to light. I didn't mind.

 

My 03 TL-S lost to my buddies MK5 2.0T Jetta, and a 91 civic with a b18 block, gsr heads and shunk2 cams. Both races were with a CAI.

Havnt raced either of them with my current setup, Im anxious to see how my car has improved.

 

^^ If the Comptech in your sig is the headers, those usually boost 15whp or so. You should have a much better chance now.

I got demolished by a black Evo. From a low 1st gear roll he had about 2.5-3 cars on me by the time I hit 3rd and was pulling hard.

Umm...C63 thought he couldn't have been flooring it because he was only creeping on me.

Packed out SRT4.

New R32. 1st run I demolished him. 2nd run was about a 75mph roll and I was in 4th. He punched it and I thought for a second, should I go? Lol. By the time I downshifted to 3rd he was about 2 cars ahead and I didn't start pulling 'til mid 4th where I shut it down.

Stage 2 '06 WRX. My boy got an ever so slight jump and slowly walked on me by 1.5 cars from 40-75. I'd like a rematch where I am in VTEC (45), cuz that's really the only chance I have with his 300+wtq. He just recently got a 3" exhaust too. So hopefully when I get mine plus a tune I should creep on him

 

i lost to a 350Z he went through a dead red light and i stopped so the victory was his..lol.. an audi S4 and S5 were racing and flew past me so i decided to get it on the audi action when i caught up the S5 stopped but the S4 was goin but i paced him pretty good he had a bout a 2 car lead on me but hey it was fun..lol

 

06 Dodge Viper SRT-10. Ate me up of course by 3094823094 car lengths. No, I didn't provoke him to mess around; owner was a friend. Then guess what happened? Later that night, he "accidentally" ran into me. LOL 360 degree spin on the freeway going 60 mph and ALL (Viper, not me). Scared the sh($ out of my passenger and I. Whoops...

since having the TL, lost by a car length to a maxima maybe an 03? and i havnt officially lost to my g/f's rsx-s, but i think if i was driving her car the TL would lose.. lol

OTHERWISE, in my turbo integra (320whp@16lbs), ill admit loss to:
1.BMW M6
2.Z06 vette
3.a few bikes.
4.friends built skyline (like 500whp?)

otherwise i was lucky enough not to lose to any others. and thats through a 2 year span atleast.

Lost to a G37x by 1 car length

 

Lost to 2 newer GT500's, ass handed to me by a 98 supercharged Cobra, Ferrari F430, and a Turbo RX-7 but only cause the 1 race we did I missed 3rd gear...

 

well to update my list, I've now lost to;

- 2: Corvettes (06+)
- 2: 350z's. both 2003. 5-Speed from a dig (stock) and 6-Speed from a roll (I/E).
- 1: 04 GTO. 3 losses from a low roll.

Last few "encounters" (which are far and few) have been losses. lol

 

i've been a few 350Z's before. what's wrong with your car?
i stayed even a 6mt purple from a dig...props to the chick who was driving it.

 

Are you A/T? Were you modded at all? I'm basically bone-stock.

BTW, add another loss to my record. Dinan Stage 3 E46 330ci. I know the guy, I actually train with him at the gym on occasion. He just roasted me from a dig. We were joking about a quick run while we were still in the 24hr fitness parking lot, and what do ya' know, it happened. We "conveniently" lined up and did it from a dig. I heard him building RPM's so I turned off the VSA and put it in SS. As soon as it turned green, I put the pedal down all the way and ended up spinning my tires almost all the way thru first gear. Needless to say he got me good 2-3 car lengths. I'd like to see how it would go from a roll. I'd still lose, but I wouldn't have to worry about launching. BTW, he launched like a champ and took off almost immediately haha.

Oh well, here's to my shitty record.

dads M5 E60: again no need for details..especially when he supercharges it.
friends G35 coupe: 260whp dynojet..almost fully bolted..not sure exactly how much it pulls on me but its pretty bad.

On a positive note I rape the last gen Audi 3.0 A4s pretty bad..

 

My list is pretty long.

SRT-4: boltons + tune (probably 330-350ish whp) pulled about 1.5-2 car lengths on me from a 60-130ish roll

Cobalt SS: my roommate's... Full boltons and tune. He kills me on the highway up to 140ish, I kill him at the track.

Ford F-150: supercharged harley davidson edition with unknown mods. Pulled a car on me on a short 40-80ish roll, but was pulling pretty hard... Terminator in a truck ftw.

Challenger hit it before I did. I stopped his pull and was creeping on him. I "think" he shut down before I could pass him. Idk.

Story:
Went for a drive late last night and ran into a newer model Challenger. Idk what model it was but it couldn't have been the SRT-8 for sure! Anyways, I'm doing the limit (40) on a backroad and I notice this car coming up, not excessively fast but fast enough to draw attention.

He gets about 1.5 car lengths behind me and shifts into my left lane. Well I looked in my side-view and needless to say I got a little excited. It was a blacked out Challenger. I dropped it into 2nd at 40 and punched it once, just enough to put another car between us. He got the message, so he downshifted and gunned it. I had let off when he hit it so he made up about 2-2.5 car lengths and then pulled ahead of me. I dropped it back into 2nd and took off at about 50mph. I stopped his pull but right when I started creeping he let off. At least I think he did.



*Edit: Afterwards I slowed down and gave the guy a thumbs up and asked if they wanted to do it again, this time with 3 honks. I'm 99% sure the passenger said "yeah!", but the driver said "f*ck that." Too bad.

 

Update: lost to a turbo Integra(400whp).
started at 40mph, honked 3 times and pulled about a car on him before his turbo spooled up and he was gone... also ran from a dig too. Light turned green and I pulled busses on him until about 115mph when he freight trained past me and put a football field on me...




Also lost to an LS1 RX-7 and a supercharged Camaro SS BADDDDDDD at the same time!!!! It was from a 40mph roll, they honk and I shit you not the RX-7s front wheels came off the ground about a foot before they both put zip codes on me! Really opened my eyes on how really slow I am! Know I plan on selling my car to upgrade to the 09+ CTS-V in about 2 years give or take 6 months!

The LS1 RX7 pulling tire on a 40mph roll is nuts! That guy has cohones to reign in that beast.

 

I F'IN HATE nissan Z's/infin g35's!!!!(6 speeds with a GOOD driver) I'm RIGHT THERE every time but for some reason they SLIGHTLY freaking pull away at the higher speeds!!! Those are my nemesis!!!

Edit: RECENTLY was RAPED by a MODDED Bmw 335 and a couple turbo's ( evo's, sti's, srt-4) I wanna run one of those turbos STOCK, cuz a FEW mods and they put on BUS LENGTHS !!!

 

Lost from a dig to a 2010 mazda 6 v6,altho I didn't know we were gonna be racing until after he stomped on it @ the light.so he def got a nice jump..I started to pull hard on him in 3rd, but was running outta road so I shut it down. He got me by about half a car length. I wasn't very happy,. I think I coulda took him if I was ready to race off the line, my tc was on too. :-(

 

Those RX-7s (FC, FD) can weigh 2500-2700lbs (upwards of 3000 with all the luxo stuff and sunroof) with a LS1, have heard of them running mid/high 11s with a stock or minor bolton swap and some traction. Any CTS has over 1000 lbs on them so you've gotta be making way more power to keep up. Even that camaro without some heavy weight reduction probably has 1000lbs on him. But to pull the front wheels off the ground on a 2nd gear punch, that had to be a 450-500whp NA setup + some spray with some super sticky tires (easily a high 9 second@135-140mph vehicle with that power and traction). I am just speculating though... never seen a car that could pull the front wheels from a punch at that speed on a normal road (as opposed to a VHT'd sticky track). Even a modded V2 CTS-V may not handle that

 

the only car i have lost in my tl is my friends 05 s2k with full bolt-ons and a tune by kenny tran has a clutch and some other stuff.. didnt even race past 60 til we hit traffic

 

only loss so far is an 09 Camry SE V6. Beat me by like 2-3 car lengths at the drag strip. Also that day I raced a bunch of muscle cars and stuff. Don't really count those since they were running like 11's...

I thought this would be the place to add my story rather then starting a new thread....


So the story goes like this...

I get a phone call from my brother inlaw seeing if I want to race a m3. I was like what? His buddy, which is also my buddy, went to Los Angeles and picked up a 01 m3. My brother inlaw test drove it and said that I will be a good run for him. I was just like no way it's a m3! I'll get my @ss handed to me!

Well to make it short, we met at my buddy's shop because he wanted to dyno his m3, just a base run to see what he can do. We tested it on the dyno on a 3rd gear pull and he was able to pull a 285hp! We tested a 4th gear pull but I believe he has a limiter which prevented him from going above 6.5rpms. So with that being said we went off to test our cars. (btw: i've dyno'd my car before, same place and was able to pull a 265)

Onto the race. We meet where we wanted to race. First race I had my brother and another buddy in the car with me, the bmw had him and my bro inlaw. He would get me off the launch while I was spinning and beat me by two cars. I was like hmmmm, not bad! LOL. Second run, came around and dropped of all the passengers of both cars. He would get me of the launch again but I was able to gain little by little and was by his door the whole way. Came back again and had my bro inlaw drive the m3. We launched and he would then again get the launch on me. We stayed together the whole way and having him beat me by just a car!

I was pretty impressed with my car! I always just wanted to try one out to see where I stand, but to be this close to a m3. It just surprised me!

Well, that's my story. Believe it or not, it happened just this past weekend. It just made me love my car even more!
