Does the car need to be running to use the scanner on the car? It says have the car in run position, but some error is coming up with the connection.

You just turn on Key on aka the second click where all the indicator lights and so on come on. After that it should pull it. If not somemthing is not right lol. Usually it should at least read something.

99% chance is that it has to do with the driver and/or com port.

also, certain progs don't work right away (use pcmscan it works all the time).

what prog are you using? also did you install the drivers correctly?

I'm surprised how civil all the posts have been and that no one flamed you.. lol. I saw in another thread about the Devtoaster - Rev App for itouch & ipod.. anyone running this? The plus side is the OBDII connection is wireless. Plug it and leave it.. the Rev App looks legit and robust as well.

It was the connection to the OBD plug that was loose. I snuged up the connection and it worked great. I have been trying to data log pre turbo sensor readings to compare them to the post readings.

As far as flaming people for asking questions, I don't see the point. We are all here to exchange helpful info and that sometimes means repeating that info.

What program are you running? I just shook my head a little that you asked where the OBDII port is.. Like DanL mentioned.. I've always seen it underneath the dash in the driver's foot well area. So this means you're getting the turbo or just want to run some baseline readouts in case you do opt for it?
