hey I sold my car to a person in NY, the Acura has a rebuilt title, my question is, what kind of inspection do they have to go through to register it. My main concern is I did the stage 3 Exhaust, where I put in the dynomax and cut of the" mid muffler/resonator" Would that be a problem?

Hey Carrie nothing happened to the car itself, it was one awesome car, but I picked up a m35 im working on at the moment. Once that is done, I will look for a Type S TL , But i just feel bad for the guy who bought it, now new york dmv has to inspect it again, I hope they are not picky about the mid muffler delete.

 

It just means the insurance company deemed it totaled and then it was bought of the auction repaired, passed all ct inspections and they then issue a rebuilt title.

Well my audi had a rebuilt title from FL. All that was needed to be done was inspection by an auto shop pickd by my insurance company. --thats for insurance.

For vehicle registration...I didnt recall going through any problems at hte DMW.

Kinda sucks for the buyer but, looks like he didnt do his homework.
I wouldnt feel bad at all!

 

if the car drove fine n everything looked fine n the car was rebuilt properly, i wouldnt worry about it.
