Now the brake pedal won't move...
My wife got in the TL the other day and started it. She tried to press the brake pedal and shift into reverse to get out of the garage. She can't remember if it actually let her put it in reverse, but the brake pedal was rock solid and would not move. She then turned the car off, let it sit for a moment and restarted it. Everything was fine.
Guess I'm going to have to go to the dealer. Kinda sad. I was hoping to not need to go in for a visit yet. I don't care so much about rattles..but brakes locking is bad.
I do also have that clunk noise when backing out and going into drive. Apparently the ABS brakes as most people here say.
Anyone else had a brake pedal lock up???

did your wife pump the brakes before starting the car? if she did, then that would "lock-up" the brakes. pumping the brakes when the car is not started makes it build-up pressure on the brake system -- thus it would seem like the brakes are locked. after starting the car, the brake system releases the pressure and everything returns to normal.
the clunk noise is the ABS system doing a system check after you get moving. this is normal.
hope this helps! :-)

I don't have a Ferrari in
yeah direk is correct. you can try this. when your car is off pump the breaks several times and you will feel it gettin tighter and tighter until you cannot depress it anymore. start the car as you would normally and try it again and wait. your car should not let you shift until you press on the breaks.
dont take it to the dealer until you can verify that it is not simply break pressure building up. waste of time and possibly money

I know about the ABS check.
She did not pump the brakes. She started the car and when she put her foot on the brake to shift out of park the pedal was rock solid and she could not move it and thus could not shift.
Has THAT happened to anyone.

might be a hydraulic failure, take it back to the dealer asap, even if it only happened once, because this shouldnt happen at all, it might be a bad hydraulic pump.
