Cool Nothing beats buying a used 2004 TL for $9K and driving a $50K MDX loaner

Bought an 04 TL with 138K on her for $8,700 a couple months ago... took her into the dealer for a couple minor recalls, and this was my $45K ride yesterday with 200 miles on her

I decided to get my alignment and balance done tomorrow, so I got to keep a loaner for another day, and I asked if I could try another one... so I got this $55K ride today with 200 miles on her

The terrible dealer here wouldn't even loan you a bag of shit...let alone a 55k MDX.

Same here, they wouldn't give me anything either and there service department is garbage. Gave me some puny excuse about some aftermarket item and that voided all warranty work. *cough cough rallye acura service deparment sucks dick cough cough*

I go to valley stream acura for warranty service on my car. They didnt give me any excuses. Still no loaner though so I ended up waiting in their waiting room area which is really nice and way better than rallye's.

And DAMNNNNN 200 MILES ON BOTH? WHERE YOU LIVE AT MAN?

edit: I work valet part time. For 55K you must have gotten the mdx with all the options, that thing is SWEET. Havent driven the 2012 TL though but my boy has an 09 TL with tech package and it is indeed very nice.

dayum brah that sucks!!!!!!!!! I live near Atlanta, the dealer is Nally Acura in Marietta. Total hassle free. Really makes me want to get my car worked on there every time! I ALMOST feel bad only spending $160 for two days of service

That TL looks like the 35k base FWD model. The SH-AWD with advance package is 45k. Either way, seems like a good dealership.

Nice, can't get that kind of service experience around here, that's for sure.
What's your impression of the newer rides, be it the new TL or MDX?
Just curious how they compare. Btw, congrats on the car and welcome to 3G

That MDX isn't 55K either. It doesn't even have the Advance package or upgraded 7-spoke wheels.

They gave you the loaner for advertising their new vehicles..plus they better give you a nice loaner for the rip off price you're paying the dealership for an alignment balance.

Not ALL dealerships are rip-offs.

Thats awesome. yea i live in Atlanta too, the Acura I take mine to is Acura carland in Duluth, when i dropped my car off a couple weeks ago to get some things looked at they put me in a brand TL. Not a huge fan of the body style but those cars are nice inside.

Yeah Rallye Acura has gone down in service.....WAAAYYY DOWN!!! My car 06 TL is still there for a month now...some BS the dealer is pulling with my TB. So much hassle for the so called Acura luxury brand yet we get Honda service. Anyways when I picked up the loaner they gave me a Base 2010 TSX...its miles behind my 3G in interior design.

Wow awesome dealer you got! Don't feel bad spending only $160. I used to think like that when my car was in for service and spent mostly around $200. But now I don't, knowing the stealerships will always have something up their sleeves. but none the less nice loaner!

A few weeks back I dropped my 06 for warranty work and requested a loaner. Was expecting their CSX with dealership logos like normal but was greeted by '10 TL. It was a very pleasant surprise.

That's the first picture of the 2012 TL that I've seen. Am I the only one who thinks they look a little too much like this?:

sorry for the long delay.

Both cars are nice.

The TL didn't "awe" me, and the MDX has a couple bad blind spots, specifically the driver's side. I had to take all of the headrests off to feel semi comfortable.

I prefer the 3G TL body AND interior. It had a few little improvements here and there, like storage and the USB input, but seemed to lack the luxury of a BMW or Mercedes. I'm pretty confident KIA makes cars with equal or more fancy gadgets for $10K less.

Overall, I'm tired and this review sucks. Bottom line, I wish I had a brand new 3G TL-S.

Haha, thanks, I actually like your review-nice, short and to the point. Good job! Give me a new 3G too.

I tell ya, Kia's come a long way, I actually like some of their cars now. Can't say the same about Acura, I'm not feeling the new line up at all. Honda's ugly and appliance-like nowadays too Just my 2c

I can't get over how the new TLs look so bland.

If that's a 2012, i'm disappointed.
