Not another A1 service thread.

Has anyone that had the A1 service show up on the MID only do the oil change and not the tire rotation part?
A1 is oil change and tire rotation right?

I did only the oil change. I get free tire rotations from Discount Tire for the life of my Michelin tires.

And hey quick question.. I am gettin more milage this time. i did my first A1 with 4200 miles now i am at close to 9000 and i am still at 40%. does this keep on getting better. Or never mind all of you are going to say. Depends on how you drive. haah

Depends on how you drive. LOL

Does the dealer tell you that you only need the oil change or you decided yourself? The full A1 service is like $119 and oil change is $29.99.
I have about 4700 miles now and oil life less than 5%. Should I get the full A1 or just the oil change?

A search on A1 (only one letter and one number, and close to each other on the keyboard) will give you more than enough info on your question.

I did search prior. It didn't really cover if people only got the oil change and not the tire rotation or got both.
I just wanted to know how many people actually just got oil change.
My dealer quoted me $29.99 for oil change and $119 for the whole A1 service. If A1 is just oil change and tire rotation than isn't it kind of expensive to pay $89 for tire rotation? Is that how much it costs at the dealer?

Just the oil change for me, $26.28 at the dealer.

Bought 100% Road Hazard Warranty for all four tires incl lifetime balance and rotation for $172 from Discount Tire. Anything happens to the tire and it can't be repaired I get a full replacement for free.

Yes, I did keep the reformulated EL42s because I don't get much flatspotting in the Texas heat.

I'm sure this was covered before, but the precise answer may be submerged by mile high posts. U may have to check answers one by one sometimes after SEARCH.

A1 is supposed to have Oil Change plus Tire Rotation only, but dealers would throw in 03TL's 5k or 7.5k maintenance service package to you. That's why it costs $119 or whatever $$ is. This doesn't mean $89 = tires rotation. $89 includes the whole bunch of check-ups.

(Note: Some ppl do get free vouchers for oil change/oil filter. )

I suggest you could get Oil Change from your Acura dealer, then find a reputable tires shop for rotation.

Or DIY.

I got free vouchers for oil change/oil filter which includes lubrication of key chasis and 19 point inspection like replenishing fluids.
What other check-ups could they do when rotating tires? Just wondering.
The dealers should be better informed on the different services for the 04 TL.

That's part of services in the list. You could say NO. Some dealers do use brush to rub your car. Pay attention to this service before you nod.

I wonder how much time they actually spend doing all these "inspections"....I'd bet money that it takes them less than 15 minutes beyond the oil change and tire rotation to "inspect" everything...what a ripoff!!

I'm at the dealer now for an A1 service. The service writer told me that the only service due is an oil change. A tire rotation would be due at 10k.

I've got 6,300 on the car, this is the first service.

When I had my Hondas, my service dept. always had sheets available listing all the service costs, when service is due, and a detailed list of what's done to your car. Acura service depts. have nothing like this for their customers?
