normal?

Guys,
Cold in New Jersey today, windows frozen won't go down, after few tries, was able to manage to bring down the front 2 windows, but the back windows were a pain in the butt and still unable to roll down. I had to open the door to pay toll today over the bridge.

what's your input?

It is normal, it happens. Next time be sure to scrape some of the excessive ice on the windows, that'll help the situation.

No probs .. it's normal .. Yesterday was horizontal rain and today it was like 12 degrees .. moisture got in and flash froze your window to the weatherstripping .. let it warm up in a garage and it'll be good as new. Mine was garaged overnight, but damp from yesterday and froze on the way to work.

Try not to force the window to go down if it is frozen. You will burn out the window motor. The frozen window is normal as the damness will freeze as temp suddenly drop below 32F or 0C. Parking car under the sun or in underground.

Good luck.

mainevent, if you go through tolls in the cold regularly keep a can of windshield de-icer in your tunk or house and spray your window border before you head out in the morning, dont force it or it could crack the glass

An easier solution, since you are in New Jersey, is to get E-ZPass and not open the window or door at all at the tollbooth.

do you need all 4 windows to pay the toll ??? it's kinda clear that it was frozen and if you need to have driver one open, it's understandable, but why force all 4 ??

Besides COLDness...

I start to dislike that my car's heater has acted so slowly, while driving home tonight, it's 15 degree only, and my heater wouldn't start to blow until the temp gauge moves up. This took 3 mins. Unless the engine hit the 1/3 of temp gauge, the wind blow wouldn't turn to "hot"...

It's freezing cold today.... Urrrrrrr....
