Only 7000 miles on my 04 NBP AT/NAVI and it got whacked today! I'm a sales person for an Acura dealer and of all people that hit my car, it was the truck driver that delivers brand new cars to our store from the factory. To make a long story short, he was reversing a brand new MDX off the truck while I was turning into the drive way of my dealership. I guess for some reason, he was either not looking or not paying attention when he was backing up. He hit me at about 10mph so it wasnt a violent collision at all. Theres damage to my left quarter, back bumper, and scuffed my 2 left wheels when I hit the curb. I called the cops and the truck driver was issued a ticket. I'll get pictures tomorrow and post them. I have an appointment with an adjuster tomorrow so we'll find out the exact damage. Thats about it, just thought I had to vent!

That's why they call them accidents...

The repair people maintain that if a car is repaired properly it loses no value... Sure it is a pain in the arse and all that is the biggest problem with new cars.

As long as the engine and tranny are ok.. you will get a couple of new rims, tires and the car will be as good as new in a couple of weeks. Of course you might have that autobody smell..

 

i'm not overly concerned with the damage. theres a great body shop out here that does amazing work. plus, i'm not held at fault so it should be cool. its more of an inconvience than anything.

I got rearended in my 04 tl about a month and a half ago. No major damage to me but the neon that hit me was totalled out. Guy had enough nerve to have his head down in Houston traffic. Took two week for the dealer to fix and an additional week to fix it right. Had to stay on them abouth it though. The flattened one of my tires and scratched my car in the process. That first accident is a tough blow to take, but the car is back to new now.

 

good to here man... idiots cant drive... they should make the law for drivigns more strict.
