nOOb Brembo ?'s
Just got an 07 TL-S
Have a question bout the brembos as I am a little skeptical here... First of all should they be on all 4 wheels or just the front? Mine are only on the front... Second do they say brembo on it or Acura? Mine are all black with Acura in white.
My TL-S didn't have the S wheels on it (has some nice 5 spoke chrome Acura wheels tho) and I am starting to second guess myself as to whether or not I have the actual brembos and/or all of them.

Cool beans... Was a little worried and getting some of that "I should of got the other one" buyers remorse... (no why did I buy a car buyers remorse on this one! )
Anyways, 17's. I will look up some Aspec wheels. They are chrome, 5 spoke, Acura center caps. Kind of wish I had the type-s wheels, I like them a little better. (trades?!? lol)

its more like 70 percent of the braking is done with the fronts
When you increas the rear braking bias, the back end is more likely to come around and you spin out--see any race cars on tv~
If you are a serious racer things would be different- and require a bias valve adjustable by the driver to get the balance right
but most ziners can `track day` the TL as is with no problems--except brake pad wear in the medium or advanced groups
noobs dont worry about brake wear at school- not going hard enough yet!!
later you will have special track only pads you pop in- the beauty of brembos is the 2 minute pad swap at the track,,from streeter to track pads

what up man...i had these chromed factory rims when i got my car in December...beware...these are chrome "dipped" and they will peel!! i had to return my car and force the dealership to give me new rims because the peeling was soo bad that the rims no longer held air...i had to put air in the tire every few days...obvisouly your rims have been recently done.they look good.. you should be fine for a few years...i think my rims had 3 years of northeast winters on them when i bought the car and the chrome was peeling sooo bad it looks like sh*t...sorry bro i dont want to have to tell you bad news but you are going to regret those rims in a few years...i will try and post some pictures of my peeling chrome rims to show ya

Are you sure? 100% totally sure?
Some think this is a typo or a misunderstanding by whomever wrote it. I don't know.
.... On the rear, the Type-S makes use of 11.1-inch (282 mm) diameter solid rotors mated with Brembo single-piston brake calipers. ....

As much as I did search there was no solid answer on whether or not the Brembos were on all 4. I guess they are all Brembos according to the post above, but the fronts are are a more "advanced" (or w/e) design/quality/etc. But hey thanks for playing

the fronts are 4 pistons- 2 on each side
the rears on type S gen3s are made by brembo but as far as I know- are still one piston on the inner side only- just like normal
they may have larger piston diameter than regular acuras- that would be the only reason to use them

It's hard to say. The rears for sure are still one piston, still cast iron. It doesn't make sense to have a "Brembo" rear caliper with all of the disadvantages as stock. I think they're just painted black to match the front as it says and with a more aggressive pad. They were referring to the caliper and pads as a unit which is kind of weird.

for all we know brembo makes the low tech rear calipers and this one they allow the name on? selling point- brems all around--!!!
who would suspect the rears were just simple weak units regardless of name
dont even need an `agressive compound` pad in the back unless you track day the car or street drive it like you do--with MAX effort braking all the time, super sticky tires and stiff suspension
