noise...as you start to accelerate

I've notice this a few times, but wanted to ask to see if its a problem or just normal. I have automatic.

When I get into the TL in the morning, put it in gear and start to accelerate down the street, I will feel a very short pulsation coming from the accelerator pedal. You will also hear a short hum or mechanical sound. That is the only time, but it usually happens upon getting into the car and driving away. Is this the ABS diagnostic/check or something that's making the short pulsation/noise?

My '01 CL-S did this every day I owned it. I think it is normal with the automatics for some reason. Sounds like a power steering groan or something like that, right (only not as loud)?

It's the Anti Lock Brakes doing a self check. My 03 Type-S does it at 6 and 15 mph. It is totally normal...do not be alarmed!

I have it on my 04 TL also, and there is a thread on vtec.net on this.

03 accord owners have chimed in and said that it was discussed with them and it was found to be normal, ie, the ABS doing a self test.

My dealer has checked twice and found nothing, probably because what they are hearing is what they expect, the ABS unit.

I have droped it from my radar.
