Lightbulb No question is a stupid question

So I have a TL Type S and I'm trying to change the bulbs inside my car.

Map light/Dome map light (2825)

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...-p8194212.html Which are 13.99

OR

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...-p6053723.html Which are 9.99

Im going for a bright red interior look. The first bulb looks more of a 360 style look and the second one looks like a flank look. Could I use either or? what would be the best recommendation from you guys? Also said for 1 pair? meaning only one led correct and if i want to change both of my front and back lights i would need a total of 4 correct?

My second questions

For the door lights Would i use a 194 bulb or a 921?

If its a 921 I would go with this one(360 STYLE) http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-B...46570-2-2.html Which are 39.99

OR

A 194 bulb, Now with the 194 bulb they have three options a 360 style, flank style and forward style. What style would i get?

Thank you in advance for reading this and helping me. In return i will take lots of picture since you guys LOVE Pictures

PS. I'm going to be purchasing the bulbs from v-leds.com Since there bulbs are more expensive and in my mind i think they should also be better quality then suprebrightleds since they cost more.

A pair....

A pair of shoes, A pair of gloves, A pair of balls.... A pair means 2 sir.

And your front doors, front mirror visors, front and rear dome lights, and license plate lights are all 194/168. The only thing that is 921 is your reverse lights.

I can't tell you what I recommend when it comes to 360 or flank style bulbs for the interior because I've only had the 360 style. I have the 360 style in 5k white and it's plenty bright. I recently put 13-LED blues on the doors and they are also brighter than the 5-WLED blues that I purchased from superbrightleds earlier this year.

I don't see why people love getting all blue or all red for the interior. I understand that it matches the gauge clusters and the rest of the interior for the type-s, but it feels like sitting in a submarine when everything is all red.

Not to mention usable light output is horrible compared to 5k/6k white. I suppose it's for the "cool" factor. Having colored LEDs on the front driver/passenger doors is enough for me..... I prefer usable light on the interior of the car, and not light that will make me still have to squint to see even when it's turned on.

dome/map- either, and yes, 4 bulbs total.

door-194 are sufficient. the 921 are for your back up lights, they'll work, but overkill for the door. get the forward facing.

one last thing...red will be completely non functional light and ...well...rice. its your car, so do whatever. happy modding.

BTW 194/168/2825 lights....essentially will fit any of those locations.

I know what a pair means the reason why I asked was because if I remember correctly there was a thread that when they said a pair only ment 1 bulb anyone bought anything from vleds before to confirm this? Even tho you say it will give it a ricer look in my opinion interior red led lights I won't consider a ricer but I guess everyone has opinions once again thank you for all the input

Me. I bought LEDs from v-leds before and i'm confirming you that a pair means 2 bulbs.

Why on earth anyone would post something to sell and say "1 pair" and only mean 1 bulb is beyond me.

Easy guys....

Cesar, I used the red bulbs in my door-they're really more accent lights. I just bought white bulbs for my cabin too. Otherwise, your interior will look like a submarine.

i have the submarine look haha. I will take a picture tonight so you can see what it looks like. I just installed them this afternoon so i don't know if i'll like them but I was able to get all 6 leds (4 domes and the 2 doors) for under 20 so if I hate them I will just swap out for regular white LEDs. As for the rice look, im not sure how if it will look ricey, but it may look just plain dumb. Give me like 45 minutes for it to get dark around here and i'll post up a pic or 2.

It actually looks pretty good in my opinion. Here are some pictures but because of the darkness they needed to be overexposed so please be advised they ARE NOT as bright as the pictures make it seem, however you can easily read a map or see with the lights turned on in the car.

hope this helps in your decision.

The good: at night the red lights wont blow out your night vision if turned on while driving

The bad: Everything you look at will be red which tends to make looking at anything multicolored difficult. I use a lot of red lights while doing astronomy and even though i would never even think about using anything else it sometimes makes seeing and reading certain things hard.

I like a clean white look but thats just me, you do what you like. Good luck and post up some pictures when you get a chance.

Red lights will make me fee like I am in the movie "Hunt for red October".

Also, with red or blue or any colored dome light, it is hard on eyes to read anything, like a map or directions. Not while driving of course.

CesarRod >> Your car, your choice. Dont take it personal man. We are all here to contribute to help you decide what you want. Viet and TLGirl were just saying what they thought about red color light. And honestly, there are quite a few people, me included, who will agree with them.

As for the "1 Pair" goes, yes, they come in two. At first I thought V-Led was expensive as compare to SuperBright, but then I saw the word "Pair" and I was relieved. If anyone tries to cell you an SMD LED for 10 bucks a pop, I will say you should walk way. I think Cree is, currently, the only bulb that will cost that expensive.

Hope this helps.

$25/pair! How much did you buy total? Front domes, rear domes, and front doors? That's pricey as fawkkkk, not to mention I believe that is major overkill!

I know it's too late now since you already ordered it, but these --
5-LED (with 3-Chip Technology) http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-B...22419-1-2.html 4/5 Brightness @ $12.99
5-LED http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-B...81059-1-2.html 3/5 Brightness @ $5.99 (I have these in 5k WHITE and they are bright as hell )
13-LED http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-B...94212-1-2.html 4/5 Brightness @ $13.99

would have been plenty bright for you. I believe you will now definitely be standing out from the rest of the red interior lighting TLs! Everyone else bought the 360 style 5-LED reds for $12.99 and they seemed really red....

You opted for the most expensive and brightest red output... I really want to see how those look! Please post pictures (even though I was against all red interior) I really want to see how "5x High-Powered" red LEDs look!

$25/pair gahhh I still can't get over that, but hey if you got the money go for it!

A really helpful tip is to get any kind of tape. Rip some tape off and wrap it around the top of the bulb and use the extra tape part to hang onto it and pull.

The tape grips the bulb (cause the tape is sticky) and when you pull on the tape it should come right out easily.

I had trouble pulling the bulb out with my fingers alone, my fingers kept sliding off the bulb. Tape worked perfect

this worked well, for the bulbs you can't grab with your fingers. i have all my stock bulbs and most of them all have the scotch tape still wrapped around them.

Another option would be rubber gloves or use those rubber finger tips.
