No "Miles to Empty" on 07 MID?

Does the 07 TL have a "Miles to empty" display on the MID? Its says avg mpg, avg mph, time, and Distance (which is the miles I have driven, (Like have a third trip odometer)) I miss this feature from my old car.

The Type-S has it. Need to scroll through the options.

Sure does... once you're in the trip submenu ("avg mpg, avg mph, time, and Distance") press the down arrow and your estimated fuel range will be displayed. Hope this helps.

^^

That's the ticket. They changed the name to "Range" and put on "page 2" of the Trip Computer.

I've had the car three months now and could not get it to do that. I'd always hit the up arrow.
Acurazine coming through again. I can sleep better at night now knowing I have this feature lol.

Here's a question for you guys. When I bought my used 06 TL, the trip computer showed all of the numbers from day one when the car was bought. I thought that was pretty neat and that the seller had reset the computer to day one. Then I thought about it again and realized that the guy probably never used the computer so the numbers went back to his purchase of the car. Does anyone know if the trip computer can be reset to show the total miles driven, total time, avg mileage etc, all from day one? I almost wish I had left it alone instead of re-setting it. It was kind of neat.

I don't know about in the MID, but if you have an OBD-II scanner, one of the parameters is mileage. It will tell you the total miles since driven.

What info? The "Range"?

Pretty sure this is the same on all '07's.

'04 - '06 had "Miles to Go" on the main TC page.

I think Acura had changed this before the 07's. My O6 w/nav has AVG MPG, AVG MPH, TIME, and DISTANCE then RANGE, not MILES TO GO, on page 2. Still wish it instantaneous mpg. Does the 07 type-s have this?

I love this forum because I keep fining out neat little extras about my TL-S.

Last week I found out how to get the side mirros to tilt down in reverse and now I find out about the Range function.

Thanks Guys.

No, it's standard on all TLs.
See pg. 74 of the '07 Owner's manual, also on-line in the 3G Garage here: https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/.../BEQ0707OM.pdf

No Instantaneous MPG. I wish it did too.

My mistake on when the "Range" replaced "Miles to Go". Thought I had read it was the '07 MY.

Yeah, I second that. First time the light came on and the range was somewhere around 2 miles and I was freaky out looking for a gas station (was out of town at the time, but relieved I had my navi). Of course when I filled it up I found I still had 3 gallons siting in the tank. That's 70+ miles around town and about 100 on the highway.

Do all new Honda and Acura range features function like that?

I agree! My fuel light came on and the range said "25 miles" left. I hurried to the gas station and it took only 13.9 gallons at fill-up.

Damn, that sure is nice to know. Anyone getting anything better than combined 22 mpg with this car? I've had it a month and put 2500 miles on it. I thought it would get better on mileage as I broke it in, but it hasn't. I'm half tempeted to get rid of it for a Civic. I'm kidding, but the thought did cross my mind, with the Civic EX getting 40 mpg highway. But that would be like going from a filet mignon steak to a hamburger.

Don't worry about it, your car isn't really broken in yet even though you are passed Acura's break in period. It will start to improve around the 5-6-7000 mile mark.

I think part of the reason was to make sure the fuel pump stays lubricated with gas. Get the tank too empty and it can damage the fuel pump.

I am TOTALLY envious of this pre-'07 Hack. You 04 - 06'ers have all the goodies. Touchscreen A/C, Trip Computer. Damn!

I still wonder why Acura disabled the trip computer (navi display) in the TL. Maybe they can "add" it in the 4G.
