No Cd Player Ahh!

I finally called the dealer about my cd player problem
when I press Disc mode button nothing happens, and when I turn car off and on it still doesnt work,
Its been a week and it worked only sometimes, usually it works for somereason when I park the car outside when its hot, the CD will work.

Anyway the dealer said that he'll have to take my CD player for 3 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what the hell, he said something about sending it somewhere and it cant be fixed easily.

At least I have XM

Unacceptable. They should replace it.

I agree with Aegir. That's just bullshit. They do swaps for this sort of thing - you never get your original equipment back, you get a swapped, working radio - maybe brand new, maybe reconditioned, doesn't matter. All the makes do this nowadays.

The dealer should replace the entire unit under warranty...Why dont you try calling Acura client services and telling them what the dealer told you...

Same deal...

The same thing happened to my CD player. Except in my case once it stopped working it never worked again. I took it in and they've ordered another unit which they say will take a week to arrive and then a few hours to install.

They also said that they would need to send the old unit back to the factory where they'll remove my discs and mail them back to me....maybe this is what they meant by "3 months" in your case...
