Unhappy No!!!

Well....it happened. On the way to work this morning while stopped at a stoplight, a nice big Tahoe forgot to brake and slammed into my car. I'm not sure how fast he was going as I was enjoying the beautiful morning. I never saw him coming.

Fortunately the bumper did what it was supposed to and absorbed the impact. However, the bumper is now off by about 2 inches on the left side and is tilting down and to the left. The lights don't sit flush to the bumper either. I also have some nice imprints of his bumper tattooed on my paint. Fortunately, there were no injuries, although my back is a little sore. I'm just glad nobody was seriously hurt. It's honestly more painful every time I look at back of the car. Ironically, the guy who hit me commented on what a great looking car it was. I think he was staring a little too closely...

Since it happened this morning, I haven't had the ability to post any pics. I'll post some later this evening/tomorrow.

For you Chicago folks, can anyone recommend a quality body shop? I'd like to get 'T' (car's pet name, I know real original) fixed correctly and back to normal as soon as possible. Thanks for the help.

My family has always went with Royal Coach in Addison. They have a couple other locations in Bartlett and St. Charles. They do top notch quality work and are a pre-approved State Farm repair shop. I had my '98 TL's front and rear bumpers refinished there and they matched the White Diamond Pearl perfectly.

If you go to Addison, go see Joe Devaux. He is one of the most honest guys I know.

I've had a couple people recommend Royal Coach. I might give them a call this afternoon and see if I can set something up with them. If anything, maybe I can get an A-spec kit out of the insurance company.
